They'll sell Modric because they will get around £30million and get his wages off the books, they can then buy Moutinho for the same amount, but less wages. They can't have Modric and Moutinho on the books.

They'll sell VdV because he is too injury prone, and again, on high wages. They've also just signed Siggurdson, who is more versatile and cheaper to pay.

Like for like signings, it will not make them weaker.

I know they will get good money for modric, but the money they do get for him i don't think they'll be able to replace him like for like and overall will get a weaker player as replacement, hmm yea I guess with van der vaart, but again i don't think Siggurdson is that much of a quality player... just think, if Rodgers didn't leave Swansea he would probably be there player by now, as no one else was really bothered before then. But once Rodgers left and tried to sign him for liverpool all of a sudden he was a top 6 player, and could quite possibly be a bit of a flop.

No, people probably did try, and I honestly doubt he was ever going to sign for Swansea... his agent would have been putting the feelers out.

Moutinho as a replacement for Modric would be just fine, especially as Modric wants to leave. This is the most important thing, he wants champions league, they would be stupid to try and force him to stay another year when he is not wanting to be there.

Siggurdson allegedly rejected Arsenal early on for the Rodgers + Swansea combination. I heard he was being bought in to replace Arseshaver.

Ashley Cole was asked yesterday if he found it uncomfortable to be associated with an alleged racist. "No, we're divorced now" he said.

I reckon he'll be a good fit, nothing but a poacher which is just what they need.

He bought Oriol Romeu, that's hardly assembling anything, is it?

Was about to say the same, about the most positive thing he did was get Danny Sturridge playing regularly. Pretty much every other positive change to the team was made by RDM - pushing Ramires forward, playing Lampard deeper etc.

He tried to disassemble our squad mid-season with no replacements tbh, it was ludicrous.

Still think he's got the makings of a good manager, just needs to sort out his man-management, press image and take things slower. Spurs have made some good signings already and could do very well next season.

Arsenal have announced price cuts for certain games next season.

"Ticket prices in the ‘C’ category matches will be on average 28 per cent lower than last season’s equivalent matches. For example, a match ticket in the North Bank Lower for the Premier League home match against Sunderland on Saturday August 18 will now be priced at £25.50, compared to £35.00 last season."

To pay for that they have annouced prise rises for certian games.

"Also as part of the ticketing policy changes, member sale prices for ‘A’ category matches, where demand for tickets is highest, have increased on average by 23 per cent from last season. For example, a match ticket in the North Bank Lower for the Premier League home match against Chelsea on Saturday September 29 will be priced at £62.00, compared to £51.00 last season."

I believe they had similar policy at Highbury where you paid a premium for Utd, Spuds and Liverpool? But I see this being a bad move. Who will want to pay £36 more for a game that will more than likely be on TV anyway?

That's always been the case, they're just lowering the shit game prices to ensure a full house.

Rodallega goes to Fulham.

Berlusconi claims to have sold both Silva and Zlatan to PSG for around £50m.

In one post, you've managed to reset all the "I'm not gay" work you did during the Euro's with all those wimmins you posted. :D

Not surprised, given reasonable doubt. Will be interesting to see what the FA do though.

John Terry: Of PL centre-backs outside the bottom 6 teams last season, only Coloccini (22) was dribbled past more times than John Terry (17).

Apart from the video evidence of Terry screaming "fucking black cunt" and his admission he said those words.

John Terry: Made more 'errors leading to an opposition goal' (3) than any other outfielder in the Premier League last season.
