Arsenal could do a lot worse. Fellani, Arteta, Wilshire... nice.

kagawa is a tailormade replacement for park. not only does he keep the fanbase in the orient happy, he also runs around a lot without seeming to do much.

Rather harsh, always available for the pass, some really good through balls and generally kept the tempo quick. Something we have lacked in recent seasons. I liked how we attacked, even if we didn't score, but the same problems with our midfield being dominated still remain.

Don't mind losing a bet if it comes at the expense of a team like United dropping points :D

UTDs new strip is a bit horrific isn't it?

I wonder if Ferguson will blame that for not playing so well, like the old grey one :)

Fergie still hasn't got a plan to deal with Felliani, 3 games in a row he has dominated our midfield now. He was the difference last night, every ball they played to him stuck and we had no one pressuring him for long stretches.

Clearly not. Don't get me wrong, Everton were excellent and thoroughly deserved the win, but its nonsense to say United were outplayed everywhere. The silver lining for me was Kagawa; great running and passing (he misplaced one pass all night). United's biggest weakness was their usual source of strength, the wide players all had a shit night. Evra was the only one getting into decent positions but Hibbert absolutely owned him when he got anywhere near a crossing position. Nani, Valencia and then Young were missing for most of the game.

Nani was horrible, so bad infact I would sell him before deadline day, I have had enough of his shit attitude. Evra was fucking rotten, he timed almost every run badly, his passing was dire and he was caught out of position half a dozen times by a second rate winger. Valencia was played out of position but worked hard, his cross delivery wasn't great but if you look where he started his runs it was a good 20 yards further back than normal and he found it very hard to beat the fullback with so much extra ground to cover. Young spent most of his time on the right hand side at Fergies request and really can not be blamed. Scholes and Cleverly moved the ball around well but neither opened up the defence nor did they win a decent amount of contested balls in the middle. Anderson was the only one running with the ball through the middle but 8 minutes is not enough to turn a game. Kagawa was very lively, kept it short and simple, all our best work came through him and he was the only upside to a rotten performance.

Again, no plan B when we come up against a big man in the middle who can actually play.

Kagawa was excellent but had virtually no options to pass to. The rest of the players were dominated by Everton (in every part of the pitch) so much so that Scholes resorted to taking people out, Rooney started sulking and Nani gave up and became lazy. The only reason it wasn't 3 or 4 nil was De Gea and an inch of goalpost/cross bar. UTD barely had a decent chance all evening.

It was never going to be 3 or 4 nil because Everton shut up shot for the last 30 minutes of the game. They made maybe 3 counters in to the United half in all the period and the Seamus Coleman one was the only real threat.

Never mind the fact they could easily have gone in 3-0 up at half time and had a couple of clear chances to score before they eventually put one away.

haha I love reading little snippets like this

Sky Sports’ Andy Burton confuses fiction with reality: ‘I signed Tal Ben Haim for Burnley from Portsmouth. I was sent to Fratton Park to cover a game for Sky and he walked past. I said “What are you doing here?” He looked at me as if I was mad.’

It's got its flaws but its still something I will pick up every year. I think this years challenge for us all should be to start at Portsmouth and see if we can survive :)
