I'd say he is showing that the Club is bigger than the players.

Yep, Song's agent has been offering him around and his attitude is reportedly problematic. In order to avoid any future situations, he looks to be getting rid now instead.

I don't expect too much more transfer activity from Arsenal. Assuming Song goes then what Arsenal need is a very good defensive midfielder who they haven't really had since Vieira.

Oh fuck not this again. Vieira was not a DM. He was a box to box midfielder. In the partnership with Petit, Petit was the DM. Just because Vieira could tackle and got stuck in does not mean he was a DM.

They sign a relatively unknown winger, Oussama Assaidi, so they list a number of "facts" about him. Number 9 is the most clutching at straws fact I've ever seen;

His FIFA 2012 profile gives him 91/100 for acceleration, 90/100 for agility and 86/100 dribbling. The area he needs to work on - if the football console is to be believed - is slide tackling, at which they rate him 24/100.

A couple of other "fact" gems:

The forward wore the 22 shirt at Heerenveen, but that number is currently taken at Anfield by young Danny Wilson.

Assaidi turned 24 on Wednesday and shares a birthday with a few familiar names - Gillespie (American politician Ed Gillespie, not Gary), Aldridge (American musician Tommy Aldridge, not John) and Evans (golfer Jon Evans, not Roy).

Depends really you don't know what's going on behind the scenes he might of been asking all summer.
