No way will wenger will spend in midfield imo, he'll just say what happens when everyone is fit and you've got another player to fit in?

Thomas out for 2 months, Jack allegedly not going to play until November. I wonder if we are in the market for a creative central midfielder. Aaron stalled a bit last year, but maybe he should get another year to try and get his pre-injury form back. I like Arteta I am just not sure he can lead our line.

Head in sand much? Have you been ignoring all the strong links with us and Cazorla? :)

Maybe a little bit :) I read was we agreed terms with the player now we need to speak o the club. But seeing as we are seemingly going to sue City for doing that I do not believe it. Then the 45m euro release fee, no chance we pay that. But they are broke so there is hope.

But I also heard all the Rumors about selling 5-6 players this summer :) I will keep my fingers crossed though.

Minimum release fees are legal requirement in Spain. €45m for a release fee over there is very small. They're normally hundreds of millions for the good players. This means he'd be gettable around the £15-20m mark.

You're just being mean tbfh.

The vast majority of fans will be like any other fan - support their club, love football, nice people, fucked over by the rich because football is a business nowadays, not a sport...
.

So they were not lording it when they cheated their way to an FA Cup? They bought way beyond there means then keep surviving when by all rights they should not exist now. I hardly see a beep in the media about Coventry who are in a similar plight. The sooner Pompey go the better for football.

...cheated their way to an FA Cup...

Bollocks.

They had a wealthy russian owner who suddenly pulled out. It's exactly the same situation that Man City or Chelski would be in if their sugar daddies decided that they didn't like football any more.

The fans themselves certainly do not deserve what's happened to their club.

Chelsea confirm signing of Oscar, bringing the number of midfielders on their books to 307.

Don't see the issue with Bale tbh. He was pulled from consideration because of an ongoing back problem. That was a month ago. He got over it, it's not like he played the full 90 mins. What happens if one of our better (when the wind is behind him) players gets better ahead of time, is he not allowed to play just because he had an injury when the national team was being picked? Injuries and recovery times aren't an exact science.

Can Pearce change his squad? No? Oh, well then, I guess that's that...

I can see why people see it the other way but it's not like he was pulled from the GB squad the day before he played for Spurs.

Unless he recovered 2 weeks early chances are he could of traveled with team gb and played his part. You declared him un fit for the whole tournament then play him before the tournament even starts. It is just a bit arrogant really. You could of left him on the bench for this game and bought him back next week.

The only problem I see is you come off like you don't even care but then again I don't see why you should have too. If Bale wanted to play but you stopped him that is one thing but if he did not then why risk injury for a football tournament that no one gives a shit about.

Horrible day to be a Copenhagen fan. We sold Dame N'Doye and we lost 3-0 at home to WBA

Massive fail!

Apparently they showed South Koreas flag for North Korean players today resulting in North Korea refusing to play their opening game.

Trying to mirror Liverpool, we had 12 senior midfielders on our books last year. Keep going, it works really well

That's nearly 4.5 points per midfielder. Not bad!

150 matches for Copenhagen, scored 82 goals. Lokomotiv Moskva got him for around £4 millions. A steal imo. There was talk of premier league clubs buying him a month's time ago, but the interest seemed to fade a bit and now the Russians got him and N'Doye gets a big fat pay check

Someone explain this Oscar signing to me, I don't know much about him which makes me scoff at paying 25m for a teenage Brazilian who's never played in Europe. Especially since he's apparently an attacking midfielder? Where's he meant to fit in our squad with Mata and hazard both preferring the same spot?

Another question! I keep reading about Liverpool to sign Allen, which imo would be a good signing. But what happened to this agreement between Liverpool, swansea and Rodgers about no poaching for 12 months?

You can watch Liverpool losing to Roma on ESPN now. Next up will be Chelsea to lose to MLS All-Stars.
