It's a weird coincidence that Walcott has his best games when we're not on TV, which means people often think he's worse than he is.

Don't forget that on the day Walcott scored a hat-trick last year Hansen STILL slated the fuck out of him on MotD. I'm not entirely sure what people expect him to do to get SOME praise. If he does something well praise him, don't fob it off - how demotivating is that?
