It has been argued in recent times that'd be easier for Argentina to drop Messi as making a system that works for him just won't happen .

The problem with Theo is my eye is he is not a weapon you can rely on. I have never seen Theo about to come on and though that the game was about to be turned on its head. In some games he is brilliant and impossible to defend but in other games we could have a 90yo granny on the wing. The game against Liverpool where the LB went of injured and Theo was facing up against a 18yo making his premier league début was especially frustrating as he did not try to run past the kid once.

My non Arsenal mate call Theo "One Day" as i keep saying "one day Theo will click into gear and be a top player" but it has not happened yet so maybe a different manager will do him some good?

The one benefit with having Theo on the pitch is even if he's playing badly he forces the opposition's defence/FB to be wary and sit deeper, because his pace is such a threat. That's a valuable thing to have at times.

Because you are still stuck in the mindset of comparing individuals, we don't have a "first team" that plays in any consistent way, they have a squad of players that does. Also their players are miles ahead of our technically.

I honestly think the only two England players I'd consider putting in are Cole and Rooney.....and honestly considering Klose's record at international competitions I probably wouldn't put Rooney in either!

If Brooking had got his way at the FA 10 years ago (he's been there at least that long now no?), we might have some things to look forward to. As it is, if we win anything or do well it will be down to luck more than anything else.
