We are desperately short of quality and depth in defense. If Modric stays then the midfield is pretty good, Bale, Lennon, Rafa, Huddlestone and Sandro are all decent players. None of our strikers fit the build for playing 1 up front with Van Der Vaart in the hole, (Crouch did ok last year but doesnt score enough)

Thing is with the whole 'Modric' saga, I can totally understand the point Harry and Levy have made about the price. Luka is 4 years older and a lot better than Henderson (20M) and younger than Downing (17M-asking) and miles better, so 22M is a bit of a joke for someone of his class in this market.

Fucking lol you're mental. You've utterly lost the plot. They're both great, but Cesc is something special. His range and ability to pass alone is better than any one thing Modric brings. Even the die hard Spurs fans I know will admit Cesc is the better player. But then I don't know any of your typical cunty Spurs fans, I'm lucky/choosy like that.

Modric isn't anywhere close to Cesc until he starts adding goals and assists to his game personally. His current record of 1 goal every 10 games is not acceptable for an attacking/creative midfielder.

I reckon 30 million is about right for the bloke, close to double what they paid, and it will give them a chance of getting a couple of other players in, provided they get rid of the Bentley/Jenas/Keanes floating around the squad. Spurs have too many average players atm sitting in the squad.

Harry, needs to bite the bullet where Keane is concerned he brought him back to Spurs and it just didn't work. He's always talked up how good Modric is as a person and a man. They would be twats because £35m is a very good offer and there really isnt anyone lining up a bigger offer than that it seems.

Given that Tevez is longing to be with his family and is extremely unhappy it is crazy to hold onto him more than they have already. I cant see him giving anywhere near 100% when all he is thinking about is not being there anymore. That is why I think they are twats for not taking the offer serious.

Now admittingly he made a mistake signing the contract, and I am fed up with all the power players have BUT in this case they need to seriously think about how they will protect the investment as all that is likely to happen is that his value will decrease along with poor performances.

I like Tevez as a player, but I am the first to admit as a person he is a twatish mercenary with a cock of an agent. But from a business view City need to look at this seriously
