He admitted it because video evidence had him by the balls and he was hoping for a lighter ban for co-operating. He was found guilty because he was guilty - if you want to support a racist at least admit it.
Uh? there was no real video evidence completely proofing he was a racist at all from what I have read at least.. unless there is some amazing lipsync tech out now..

He admitted it so the entire thing was over quicker and he hoped the backlash would be smaller if they had some real evidence (which it seems they did not at all)..

He must have really hated his grandfather if he really is a racist.. since his grandfather is black and he also supports many anti-racism charities in Uruguay... if you really think he is a racist then you need your head checking.. yeah. maybe he said something in the heat of the moment but I really doubt it.

I think that's my last post on it cause it's getting boring :D

Had this weird feeling about today and I think I've summed up what it is. It's the sadness that this is an end of an era, under Mick I've had the best years ever following Wolves.. promotion, first two season in the prem, they have been simply amazing, though I've never been a real fan of his as noted I respected what he did for us and what he gave. However today ruined it all, not a high note or a swansong to leave on but one of the darkest day at the Molineux I've witnessed.

Realisation that one of our best periods in years is over, it's sad. Where we go from here is a mystery.

I do wonder if Ferdinand (refusing hand shake) and Evra ("celebration") will make any attempt at an apology.

Whats the weather like in denial?

Hah - you are you serious that someone who has a distant black ancestor cant be racist?? Pretty stupid if you are tbh and any experience of the real world would show this to be wrong.

This is as weak as the 'because one black person didnt complain when I called them X it cant be racism' arguement which completely ignores the context of the use of the word.

Pathetic really.

McLeish ... he never ceases to disappoint. The useless bastard, and the owner that hired him. Bloody Americans should stick with doing what they know best, they certainly don't know anything about football and should be kept a million miles away from it.

After watching it today I feel for you! Nzogbia and ireland on the bench. And you looked a diffetent team when they came on. Nzogbia has got to be gutted, i know he can be hit and miss but under martinez he really rose to the occasion and took responsibility for so much that Wigan did well. Now he can't get in the team over Heskey.

I don't mind Heskey, but if you're going to play him he has to be a target man. Pointless putting him in midfield and then firing the ball at Bent from 40 yards away all game. McLeish is truly terrible, which Villa fans knew anyway.

He's probably not fantastic but who knows based on how truly awful the remnant of the Villa team is now - he shouldn't have taken the job - lots of others refused it.

The reality is your best players have been sold and that money went to pay off debts - with no replacements and no money to spend the best you can hope for is around mid-table. Its a painful re-adjustment for the Villa fans and clearly an element of them are still stuck in the glory days.

At least your still in the premiership...

I think what you mean is "McLeish, doing better than O'Neill in terms of points after the same number of matches"...

...you're just bitter 'cause he's ex-brum and Villa fans moan even when they've nothing to moan about :)

I've edited out the first part of your statement as it makes little sense even by your own standards.

I'd call our worst home form since 1987 plenty of room to moan. Villa fans knew very well the weaknesses of the manager of Small Heath, we'd seen them first hand after O'Neill had trounced his teams repeatedly over the past few years. We'd all laughed as they followed the luckiest league cup win of all time with the worst run of form of any Small Heath team in decades and getting relegated.

When our know-nothing owner goes out and headhunts a failed manager with a track record of failure pretty much every Villa fan was pissed off about it. No it doesn't help that he comes from Small Heath, that just means he is under pressure to perform. But his results and his utterly negative long ball football speak for themselves.

We have the worst record in defending corners in the Premier league and are the only team to not have scored from a corner. Can't pick a team, can't motivate a team, can't organise a team. He seems like a nice chap, says all the right things. But he's a turd of a manager.

The player he spent his transfer budget was left on the bench till the last five minutes of the game. When you don't have large transfer funds you have to be careful how you spend it, and then use the player. He wasted the money on a Match of the Day highlights player and doesn't even play him.

According to 5-live this evening McLeish has more points right now than O'Neill did after the same number of games.

I think it's the believer in you coming out which is making you avoid the facts that undermine your argument ;)

All managers - even those generally regarded as the good ones - waste money on duff players. Its just a bit more painfully obvious when your transfer money comes from looking down the back of the sofa.

I thought your point about the owner headhunting him was funny - the reality was that no-one else would take it once they were told how little money they would have- he was quite a long way down the list.

He's actually not done bad at all on a championship team's budget in terms of premier league results - if he can keep you up be thankfull.

Facts? O'Neill joined Sunderland in December and already has more points on the board than McLeish has managed in a full season. You must have cloth ears.

He has a £24m striker up front, one of the best young wingers (in Marc Albrighton) to break through last season, Agbonlahor (a proven Premier League forward), Richard Dunne (made team of the season two years ago) and a cracking goalkeeper. The budget might have been poor but there is plenty of quality in the team, enough to actually try and win a game rather than just keep scores down.

We knew McLeish would be shit, and he has been.

Doh, you dick.

Of course I meant that McLeish is doing better in terms of points at the start of his term as Villa manager than O'Neill did at the start of his term as Villa manager.

Of course....
