I just think he was spouting bullshit to try to evade the question, soze. From the way he worded it, it's as if he didn't see the (non-)handshake, then one of his people said "oh no boss they definitely shook hands" and then when the reporter said that they didn't, it was "contrary to what he had been told". He just wishes the Suarez issue would disappear but I don't think it's going to any time soon, especially if they keep knee-jerk jumping to his defence about things like this.

But whatever, this whole debacle just reinforces why I can't stand LFC.

Not sure what to think of that.. but the pictures show Evra did lower his hand just before Suarez offered his hand.. think they are both to blame a bit.

*not saying it was Evra's fault totally, but Suarez probably thought because he lowered his hand that Evra didn't want to shake hands. Dunno, only they know

Be that as it may, you'd think that *somebody* in the dugout would mention it to him and say "'ey up chief we might have a bit of a problem with this after the game" and given him a bit of a heads-up. Unless they DID and he was just playing dumb and trying to avoid the question.

So what else has gone on between Evra and Suarez? Seems really weird that he shook everyone else's hand except Evra, especially given his comments after the match.

That's not behaving like a racist, thats behaving like someone who has a real problem with Evra specifically for whatever reason.

He's got accused of being a racist (for the record, I don't think he is/did anything racist) and it has ruined his reputation and credibility as a person, I think he has all right to be pissed off at him and it's one mans word against another (still in my opinion). For someone from such a tolerant country and a leader for anti-racism it's got to be hard to be labeled as something like that, he's a cunt but I feel sorry for the bloke at times.
