I really hope I'll have the pleasure of quoting this back to you at about 9:45pm next Monday. :)

You'll play Saha and he'll walk off seconds later injured. You'll also pick up two reds and make shit subs.

There you go - you've still got something you can quote back to me when we take the 3 points :p

:)

Dave Jones on the week after he got us promoted. Sounds like the circumstances of which Mick is under tbh. That season when we first got back us was a shambles.

He said that the week after we got promoted he was called into a meeting with Sir Jack and Jez Moxey and was asked these three questions...along with his responses:

1.) SJH - How much money will you need to keep us in the premier league

DJ - I will need about £20 million

2.) SJH - How much money will you need to get us mid table?

DJ - I will need about £30 million

3.) SJH - How much money will you need to win the title?

DJ - Lets not get carried away, lets concentrate on getting established. The £20 million will be enough for the first season.

DJ says he got a call a few days later from Jez to inform him that he was sorry but SJH would only give him a budget of £3 million.

He had drawn up a list of transfer targets which he says would of cost him about £16 million. This including an inform Trevor Sinclair and David James were some of the names. Instead he ended up with Steffern Iversen, Henri Camara and Silas - a total of £3.5 million.

DJ was angered by the lack of trust and broken promises and other managers in the Premier league were telling him to walk away because he had been given no chance before he even started.

Wazz/soze confirm that Mark Davies was an absolute don for Bolton last night? Didn't watch but always good to know the lad is forfilling his potential.

I have only seen the 12 minutes highlights from the Arsenal site and the only time he was in it was the Free Kick (not a penalty Per pulled him back out side the box) but to his credit he stayed on his feet and tried to score which is good to see.

Saw the extended Football First highlights and didn't see a huge amount of him. I did see a huge amount of us having chance after chance and spurning them though. :(

So is Harry Redknapp going down? I tend to think not but I guess its down to the Jury - if they are all arsenal fans he might be in trouble :p

Nah. He'll get let off, or fined. Which is the same thing to a man of his wealth.

Nah. We'll take 3 off spuds, but the mancs'll beat us 2-0.
other way imo, we'll pick ourselfs up for united, always do. then we'll underestimate spurs and get our pants pulled down.

Looking through striker options in FF, it's not been a good 2012 so far for any of them as far as I can see. From the last 4 (in some cases 5) games:

RVP (who I can't afford anyway) - 15 points,
Ba (fair enough he has been away for 3 games) - 12 points,
Aguero - 15 points,
Rooney (missed 1 week) - 10 points,
Adebayor - 8 points

Dempsey saved me as my captain last week. Aguero has been pretty average recently, time for a change methinks. Tempted to throw Morrison in tbh and spend the extra in midfield.

As usual I only remembered to do my time for the first few weeks. :(

One of these years I will have to set a regular reminder or something. I usually remember at 12ish on a Saturday.

stolen from FB:

John Terry won't be facing trial for racial abuse until after Euro 2012.

So he's free to lead his country into Poland.

Just like his hero did.

He was only making himself look like more of a cunt by clinging onto it imo. The "right" thing to do would be to have stepped down as soon as he was charged. I don't see that the FA had any other choice.

is that confirmed? i only read they are discussing it

i dont see how he can continue until the matter is settled, they should simply state that an interim captain (the vice captain?) will lead the squad until the hearing is done with, if innocent he can be restored, if guilty we can banish him to heck if he is found guilty should the FA take further actions? can they do that if a court has already decided on his case?

no, chelsea could take action as his employers but the FA can't if it's already gone over their heads.

Firstly a disclaimer: I think JT is cock as much as pretty much everyone does.

However, won't it make the FA look incredibly stupid - as it would Chelsea - if they took action against him when nothing has been proven? Anyone can accuse anyone of anything at the end of the day, no one can say definitively that they know he is guilty yet. The trial no doubt should have happened ASAP, but given that it has been postponed, surely 'innocent until proven guilty' applies here?

At the same time, I completely understand the viewpoint that even being accused of such a reprehensible act is enough grounds to not have him captain his country. I'm really not sure personally, obviously being a Chelsea fan makes me somewhat biased, but equally there is no way I want to say a racist captain my team let alone my country.

What Orm said about having an 'interim' captain seems the best thing to do politically for the FA at this point.

Regardless of him being a massive bellend. He has not been found guilty of anything.

What happens if he gets found not guilty? Can he go back and re-captain the team. Does he get a nice big meaningless apology? Do the arseholes at the FA resign (please make them resign!)

No, probably not. This is most likely his last tournament.

Innocent until proven guilty, always.

TBH JT should have stood down while the matter is sorted.

Why? If he is innocent, why should he?

Would you give up your last ever international tournament because someone had accused you of something you didnt do?

Fuck the FA.

Edit. I have no idea whether he is innocent or guilty.

Who do you guys think will be the new captain come summer? I guess probably Gerrard seeing as Rio is probably past it. Maybe even Scott Parker? Or Rooney?

Because he is putting his country and his football team in a very difficult position, and he does not need to accept any guilt to stand down. It would of been the cleanest way around it. He will not keep the captaincy and while accused of Racism to a point where the police have pressed charges he should not keep it.
