The date of the trial has now been set for 9th July, after the end of Euro 2012 and before the start of the 2012/13 Premier League season.

From reading it it sounds like he was still compensating for the earlier injury which caused the new one - that should have been avoidable if they had let him recover properly from the original one. Poor kid

If it's not a problem then why do we bother having separate male/female changing rooms? Or, (although I disagree with it) separate male/female wards in hospitals?

Because men and women are physically different. Taboos and cultural differences are often built upon these kinds of dichotomies. Add the western taboo on nudity to this (because emancipated as we may be: I don't see many nudists walking around my town) and there's your reason.

I have no problem sharing communal showers with gay men. With women it would feel a bit awkward, but not for sexual reasons, mostly because it's unusual and we're sort of indoctrinated to think it's not right.

It's a shower, not an orgy.

My point was that the different changing rooms are not because of sexual attraction, but because of cultural taboos which have little to do with it. (If you'd want to continue the discussion: there's another thread on this subject here.)
