Quite a few commentaries from law and financial types today stating that a 9 point penalty would be unlikely for Liverpool as it's the holding company not the trading company which would go into administration.

I thought that particular loophole was closed the other year after Southampton (I think) tried to get off the point deduction on the same grounds. However I am old and I forget a lot.

Now where are my slippers.

Nope, southampton was different to portsmouth and that was different to west ham. Apparently it's down to how the holding company interacts with the trading company. If it's set up correctly then they shouldn't get the penalty.

Yeah we tried to get off on that loophole but were quickly told where to go.

Lim's offer seems better as it will remove all debt and give Roy a bunch of money for the transfer window

I get's better, Hicks and Gillets solicitor has revealed in court that there was a better offer from the Hedge Fund that financed their takeover to clear the debt and invest £100million.

It seems the board have ignored two better offers for NESV's bid. Something dodgy going on?

Yep, it seems very much like an insider deal, stick Broughton in as chairman and then sell onto friends at below market value. Dodgy as fuck, Liverpool fans need to be very careful here or they may get burnt again.

so take off one of the best players on the night (Ashley Young) so we can have another 15 minutes of wright phillips overhit passes running down cul de sacs and general his usual crap self in an England shirt.

anyone else think thats a good idea?

just cant get my head round it sometimes.

oh and can some give Gareth Barry some passing lessons, and while your at it find a new career for Glen Johnson.
