Arsenal need a change of manager. All we have heard since 1978 is that Arse have the best youngsters in the universe and next season they will win the league again, but next season never comes.

Well he won the league 3 times so that is a pretty retarded statement to make.

And what have they done for the last 6 years? The rest have got stronger, Arse have got weaker. It wont be long until Spurs overtake them. Either the club back him and give him the funds ( I dont believe Wengers soundbites one bit about having cash to spend) or they get rid and get a manager who can do better with the talent available.

He does just fine with the talent he has. Yes he could spend more and win some silverware but not everyone has infinite money due to government funding.

I have a lot of time for Arsenal because they are run how I would like every club to be run...not at a loss.

I dont think we need a change in manager i think we need a change in strategy above all else. And i get the feeling we may get that soon. Wenger can win the league by buying players he has shown that so i don't think he needs to go.

Wenger has been trying to build a team but with players leaving players not stepping up with have not got there, this year is a good chance as any as we did not lose any major players who have not been replaced so fingers crossed.

No manager will come in at Arsenal and do what has happened at Chel$ki and ManC as we will not borrow to buy players and pay wages it is a suicidal practice in the long run.

You are wrong here we have the money our finances are public record but Wenger will not risk the clubs long term stability for fleeting glory.

Big club
3 league titles
14 years

Yeah fucking retarded statement.. Arsenal consider themselves in the title run at the start of every season, but come december/january when Fabregas is injured and they are trailing Utd and Chelsea by 9 or more points it's the same reply every time: "Next season! We still have a young squad.. bla bla bla" etc.

Arsenal hasn't won the league since '04. Imo the EPL is going in the same direction as La Liga

I hate modern football

The sooner clubs are forced to live on what they earn Arsenal will go back to contesting with Man U. As Chel$ki, City and Spuds fall away.

You must watch a freaky danish edit of the premier league then cokenose. Arsenal have been in the running, injuries have not been as kind to them, but they certainly could have won a couple of times in the last 6 years had a couple of games gone differently.

Think Chamack is doing wonders for you, a proper forward who can hold the ball up.

To be fair to chelski, roman is sorting them out, albeit slowly. I'd imagine they will be living on their earnings sooner rather than later. Spurs actually do really well, I hate Levi, but the man is good at running a business. I don't think they'll suffer too much.

I will never admit spuds do anything right! Chel$ki are going in the right direction but neither spuds or Chel$ki could sign the quality of players they have without owners money. Spuds are 3rd or 4th in total money spent but do not earn near what the top 4 do. Now they have CL they will be close though.

You are effectively saying that Wenger is a bad manager because he can't achieve more than the other teams while having a lot less cash to burn.

Sounds exactly like something a typical barcacunt would say.

They do well on their commercial side though, and their signings recently have been very good and not that expensive. Think their transition period is over, and they actually have a squad now which is capable of challenging for a top 4 place for the next 2 years, maybe with one more defender. Don't think spurs will do as much selling and buying as in recent years. New stadium plans looked good as well.

Won in '04, 11pts ahead of Chelsea
Runner up in '05, 83pts trailing 12pts behind Chelsea
4th in '06, 24pts away from Chelsea at the top
4th again in '07, 21pts from United
3rd with 83pts in '08, 4pts behind United - First close encounter since the win in '04
Back to 4th in '09 with 72pts, 18pts away from the top
This year they ended up 3rd, 11pts from Chelsea

Holy shit mates, lock me the fuck up! I must be delusional! I mean a few games had went differently, they clearly would have won the league 6 years in a row!

What do you want me to say? I wish some rich **** with no interest in us would come buy us. That way we could spend £200 million on players and go on and win the league!!11

Sorry I do not see things the way you do and it is a Fact with out his money you would be no where near the league.

Not everyone buys success. I agree, modern football is shit in the way that those with money win, its even sadder when people think bought trophies mean anything. It's what breeds the glory supporters who all of a sudden switch from supporting their home team to another team when they start doing well. If the likes of Arsenal did win the premiership it would mean a hell of a lot more than some mercenary outfit winning it on the back of £150mil+ spending.

I seem to remember a big fan of a team from the north west posting on these boards a few seasons ago, when it looked like they could potentially get something out of the season. All gone quiet on that front these days.

Money buys loyalty from a modern football fan.

Keep going since your song is about as valid now as it was when you last sung it a few months ago.

So in other words lets punish the top clubs and hold them back so the medoicre teams like Arse can compete. OK! WHy stop there? Why dont we work out what the smaller clubs make and then level the playing field there? Lets take Blackpools turnover and make that the benchmark for what you can spend. Surely the Arse fans will think thats fair?

For a team that Breed success you seem to be against this rule. Is it because you know the only way you get top players is the wages you pay? In other words you have a team full of mercenary *****. And i do not think it will ever change but i would love to see how you fans of over financed clubs reacted if it did, Barce lose the top players as they can't afford to pay the wages again lmao.

Barca get more and more annoying as time goes on.

The sooner clubs are punished for having huge debts the better.

The football Arsenal play and the way they run their business is superb, on their day I wouldn't want to watch any other team in the world play football.

I think this year is going to be an important year in the way things happen. The big four will be well and truly shaken up and i DO beleive arsenal will contend all the way to the end. Across in spain i think Barce have seen their last league trophy for a while as Real once again become the spanish super power. If messi injury was as it looked then i can see it affecting barce badly.

The league simply isn't what it used to be. Most of the premier league teams have no realistic chance of ever being close come the end of the season.

Money has killed the game. Never again will we see the likes of Norwich take the title. Can many here actually remember what it was like when variety was the spice of life?

I'd gladly take another 20 years before Liverpool win the title if, in the intervening period, football became an actual competition again - rather than just an exclusive showboat for the few and a rich man's plaything...

True, and by the same token, those that had decent world cups didnt really shine in the club comps.

I would say Xavi shined, season, world cup, etc.

Why always giving Golden ball to a striker/offensive player? midfield artist like him deserves (and my team is Real Madrid) :p

I'm surprised Agger'd say that tbfh. However, I agree with his assessment.

I've not been a fan of hodgson since he joined. The style of play seems to have gone backwards. I always thought the reason Rafa was forced out wasn't because he was sh1t (he wasn't - he hit way above his weight with a team most managers would have struggled to get into the Europa League) - but because he stood up to the owners.

It's the same reason Dagleish wasn't given a shot. He wanted the job but the owners would have been terrified. The only man who'd have more power than Rafa if he was made manager...
