Keitz you are deluded beyond belief.

Gaffer: It's a pickle they have got themselves into, had they changed their revenue and tv rights system to be fairer ten years ago, they would be a more competitive league with more worldwide appeal.

I value the FA Cup and even the League Cup way higher than the Europa League, the Europa league is a complete joke really.

mehhhh :p

The don't think of it as Europa League, think of it as the UEFA Cup and of all the great sides that have won it down the years. I would gladly have it in our club museum.

:D

premier league has strength in depth
la liga has the two biggest clubs in the world
bundesliga cares about the fans
serie a has zlatan

way i look at the best leagues

Fixed this for you. Also, AC Jimbo made me a steadfast fan of Italian football since the 90s and I refuse to give it up. BRING BACK FOOTBALL ITALIA.

Laughing at our ability to spend withing pages of mouthing off about yours (on what basis I have no idea).

LOLKEITAN

No, I was laughing at the timing of it, that's all. Maybe I just read in to things too much, but I think it's another mind game ahead of the CL final :(..

Mind games with who? The only people that be affected by this is UTD players and it could go either way.

Positive: Need to do well because they may replace me if dont
Negative: react badly as cant cope with fear of replacement coming into club.

...
The money always been there and Ferguson has opted not to use it... I feel that our away form coupled with Scholes and Giggs situation (VDS situation also but that about dealt with) has made Fergi decide now is the time to spend that Ronaldo money.

oh I completely agree.
Our total spending will be £60m tops. If we go for Nasri then that will be £15m maybe (dont see likelyhood). Can see us knocking in a £20-25m bid for Modric to be creative force in middle of the park though instead. He has more consistancy to his play then Nasri.

He got 3 main targets green lighted. De Gea be 1, Central midfield be the other. Possibly after 2 central midfielders though, OR another fullback but I find that one unlikely as Twins can play both sides, got Evra, and the backup crew (Oshea, brown).

1 Central mid will be cheaper... curious if he put in a £5-10m punt on Charlie Adams. Cant guarentee him first team football but he got a great left foot and price should be worthwhile.

So. Possibly.
Keeper - £20m, CM first team - £20-25m, Backup CM £5-10m.

he'd blatantly love to sign a scot ;)

i reckon nasri would cost way more than 15m and modric over 30m, considering their clubs desire to lose each of them

Nasri - 1yr on contract is it not? And it doesnt look like an agreement is on the cards for a new contract. As such they cant demand silly money and £15m is pretty generous but the rivalary may block that.

And I agree, Modric probably be over £30m. The lack of CL though may mean he can force a sale through at around that price if he really wanted. 20-25m probably be about what fergi be looking to pay at most, but with that said 31m for Berbatov may mean he will go above that value.

On the subject of Europa League, surely if they gave the winners a CL spot (even if it simply a late qualifying spot) it would give a massive incentive?

€25 million revenue from Europa league + chance to play in Champs league = Muchos €€€ :)

and might get the English teams interested a bit more! (as the likes of Fulham, Aston Villa, Liverpool might have more chance if they put some effort in)

If you wanted Nasri you would do one of the behind the scenes deals and wait till next summer. It looks like that's what Nasri wants a fat signing on fee and huge contract. Which he will not get from us, the signing on fee that is.

I'd take Nasri over modric all day long, far more end product from Nasri.

Nasri will cost £20 or £25, if not more. It's not about his contract length alone, Arsenal will never sell one of their best players to us for a low price, their fans would backlash a lot. They've just raised ticket prices remember. I think it's just gossip though, I don't see Nasri leaving for another English team IF he goes anywhere.

Modric; it will be interesting to see if Spuds can keep hold of him if we do make a bid. He'd slot in perfectly our our midfield. I'd rather have him than Nasri. Between £20 and £30 million + Carrick ( I can dream can't I?).

Full back - Why not? Get in Enrique, Evra is fantastic, but competition never hurts. I think Brown is on his way, and O'Shea is versatile so it wouldn't hurt. The twins are the future, but having top class players to push them will make them better, faster.

I'd love for Fergie to take a punt on Adams. I really think he'd be amazing for us - look what he did at Blackpool, with (and no offence) lesser players around him. He'd certainly represent better value than Modric or Nasri, if more of a risk.

This, his passing range is unbelievable. His ability from set pieces would do us no harm either.

Downing has asked to leave Villa, he wants champs league football. So where does he go? I don't see him fitting in at United, Man City don't need yet another midfielder - Chelski could do with with someone down the right though. So Arse or Chelski? Good replacement for Arshaving.

Grønkjær is ending his career on sunday :(:(:(

And our SBs are leaving as well.. If we dont invest during the transfer window, don't expect us to be seen in the 1/8 CL next season :(
