It's not the revenue. It's about attracting the right level of player unfortunately.
Reina is definitely going to be off. Not sure anyone else who'll want to leave are good enough for it to matter.

I do think Reina's probably off. It'll take a 20m+ bid to hit is release clause but someone'll stump up.

The only way I can think that he'll stay is if the new owners make an epic effort in the transfer market. Like 100m quids worth.

I'd say at least 6 or 7 top-notch players, and I mean top-notch, would do the trick.

Need 2 quality LB. A central defender. A top-class midfielder, 2 proper wingers and another suarez-quality striker.

It's been like that for so long it's not funny. And although it's probably sacriledge, Without the quality in the squad I'm not sure Kenny's got the necessary tactical nous. He needs that quality in the squad - but once it's there his style of play will suit it well.

It has been many many years that Liverpool have needed quality wingers, it has been so badly neglected it always surprises me every year that they not even bothered to look at the area.

Really will be interesting to see what happens with Reina - can see him opting to go to Spain if the offer comes in but doubt that due to top clubs not needing him.

Man City = Totally different team when Mancini stops being a cvnt and plays Adam Johnson. So fuck the kid can't defend, he's not a defender. He has brilliant feet, excellent compsure on the ball, his movement off the ball is very good and he know where the goal is. He's one of of the best young talents we have.

MoTD - what was the beeb's justification for playing back Rooney's swearing and not editing it out? Very gutter press from the beeb, lots and lots of kids watch MoTD, it's on late because of the way the rights are sold, no other reason. It's not meant to be a post-watershed show.

Aye it is shit, a stitch up and no mistake but I don't expect any better from them when Fergie still refuses to give them interviews. Rooney was fucking stupid and deserves a massive fine but it was very different from what Drogba did and the ban would be unwarranted. Make the cock do some football community service, humble him a bit as that is what he needs.

Yeah lineker actually looked embarrased, that he had to apologise for the swearing. It is typical of the bbc though... must make news!!!

Fergie won't seem to back down no matter how big the impending fine, he wants an apology which his son might rightly or wrongly deserve. Jason Ferguson was never charged or found guilt of anything, infact alot of the evidence against him was pretty shakey and very circumstantial irc. The other agents implicated and who there was hard evidence against walked away with damaged reputations but are still operating in the business afaik. Jason Ferguson got out, he knew that the knives were drawn and never going away because of who his dad is.

All that's irrelevent, the beeb have yet to complain, they seem happy enough with the compromise. As for the league, they won't risk a managers backlash through the LMA. Currently managers are expected to answer questions, yet not speak their mind or answer questions because of possible fallout, yet journo's ask leading questions.

BBC know that if they try to push the issue then it will bring up why he refuses to do them yet again. When push comes to shove they made themselves look like complete pricks and didnt have the balls to apologise for it. I can just see the BBC interviews if they tried to make an issue of it. Fergi will just give one word answers, or say "hello" then walk away saying "i spoke to them, job done". Hell he probably would still refuse to do it and instead get Phelen to give one word answers, or better yet send the tea lady to do them :D

Only 9 starts in the premier league this season and 15 as a sub. He hasn't been starting him when he was fit. My point stands, Man City are better with him in the team. and Mancini does not like him because he does not fit into his 1 - 9 - 1 formation.

Mancini also claimed that Johnson, who scored on his first start after returning from injury, could spearhead City's charge for a Champions League spot.

"When we lost Adam, that's when our problems started," said the Italian. "He is the one player we have who can change a game. Adam is not 100% fit yet but he showed today he is very important to us."
from the beeb.

That is so very ugly. And all because he went to one game at Craven Cottage in 1999? Small time.

No, because Al Fayed is a utter, utter loon. He "believes" in Jacko (his words), the statue was commissioned for Harrods shortly before he sold it.

Fayed was quoted as saying fans can "go to hell" if they don't like it, and "they can support chelsea if they don't believe what I do, I don't want them"
