And you are still banging on about the world cup bid when no one else is. Talk about small man syndrome translation to a whole nation.

Ok please explain your reasoning behind comments "like a cancer" Based on what exactly?

So that's still 100X more knowledge than you have.

Go and read about all the shit blatter's done, his power base, how the organisation works and then come back and understand why he's a hated figure. Stop going on about a world cup decision everyone else bar the media has moved on from.

Yawn tierk, so you want to accuse a lot of poeple here of being bitter over lampards goal, the world cup bid and henry's handball, yet you refuse to do any reading yourself around the situation. Then like a classic troll you go with a cheap response like the above.

You know full well what the majority of people here think of the media; its extremely petty of you.

You are nothing but a shit troll, talk again when you actually want to discuss something.

Hopefully for those that care about football, Blatter will be gone within a few months, and we'll have a fair FIFA for a short term (until Hamman builds his own power base), and some much needed organisational changes may be made.

Sorry but as usual you are wrong. I read, probably a lot more in a day on a host of subjects and i would hazard a guess a lot more than you do.

I dont care how the decisions are come to as i know and understand full well that corruption in sport and business is nothing new.

I worked for years as a salesman in London and i have seen deals signed on the back of people getting bought yachts, cars, holidays, cash so save me please. Hell even governments allow it to happen on their big contracts - Al-Yamamah deal being a classic example.

As i said just because you post at 100 miles an hour on this thread and on this forum in general it doesn't make you or any of the other serial posters - Toht and Co - any smarter or better informed then the rest.

You just have more to say and as the saying goes, "empty barrels make the most noise"

frankly Blatter should go, his way of dealing with problems, accusations of corruption etc are absurd

not to mention his slightly 1950's stance on womens football, and homosexual participation in football, in 2004 he said Women Footballers should "wear tighter shorts and low cut shirts... to create a more female aesthetic" to attract more male fans...

in 2010 he said ""I would say they [gay fans] should refrain from any sexual activities" when asked about Qatars policy (and the illegality) of homosexuality in that nation

when members of the FIFA exec who were also members of the IOC exec were accused of corruption the IOC immediately (as per their procedure) suspended the members and investigated, FIFA, and Blatter laughed at the IOC as managing their finances "like housewives"

hes an old boy who is completely out of touch with Fans, Players, Clubs and Countries

but he may have pulled a great political move by announcing he will stand down in 2015 (he said in 1998 he would only run for two terms, but did not stand down), which may sway Platini's vote as he probably wont want to wait too long to take over if he can.

So because corruption happens people should simply accept it and move on? The comments here are about why so many people dislike Blatter, and while you claim its because of trivial match-related things, others are saying "no, its because FIFA looks corrupt". It doesn't matter whether that's just one of life's little realities (and no, just because governments do it, it doesn't make it alright, your example of Al-Yamamah is a perfect illustration of that), people, particularly British people, don't like it. There's a tradition of fair play in Britain that people genuinely believe in, which may be naive, but is still a valid viewpoint. So before you go on about all the reasons why its OK Qatar got the bid and all the other bids were corrupt as well, try to understand that people are upset by both the corruption and the outcome.

The problem with getting rid of Blatter is that candidates for his job are just as bad. As much as I dislike Platini's "pro-European" (e.g. Anti-English) stance sometimes, he seems to be straight (and to be honest the English game, while successful, is a giant financial implosion waiting to happen, so Platini's ideas might make English football weaker in the short-term, but are probably the right thing for the long term health of the game).

Sebb Blatter, the guy who was handed the presidency of FIFA on the back of bribing people to vote for him.

Says it all

and yes, I do firmly believe Qatar didnt get it on merit, but by dodgy dealings. Same for Russia.

Ok i am lost here.

Everyone seems to be complaining about corruption at FIFA but when i mention that people are crying about FIFA because of WC bids people keep posting that no no no its not the WC bids its corruption.

Well everyone is either implying or coming out and saying directly that FIFA took bribes to award the 2018 and 2022 WC bids and that was what everyone has been going on about.

So can someone explain to me if it is not the process of WC bidding that is is being dealt with corruptly, what is being dealt with in a corrupt way then? WTF else is it?

I would also ask how many of you would be screaming "blue murder" - in the words of one poster - if England had won the right to host it in 2018? I would probably imagine none.

Just sounds like a severe case of sour grapes to me sorry.

Dagaffer, your comment that the English have a sense of fair play is true and i ahve seen this in everyday life, however, i am sorry to say that it is just as rife -corruption - in England as anywhere else in the world.

The only difference in UK and i would imagine in Europe and USA is the size of the bribe is just far bigger.

It is a fact of life. FIFA is not some elected body that has free elections that everyone gets a vote on. They ahve their own systems and they get on with it.

I can remember everyone the world over was concerned when the USA was awarded the WC for '94. No league to speak of, not exactly a country renowned for its great football team. It sure as hell didnt make any sense whatsoever at the time they were awarded it.

Yet they gave us one of the best world cups to date - in terms of bums on seats in the stadiums if not a final (decided on penalties) - as well as some truly entertaining games with huge surprises throughout the whole event.

My only concern is that i get entertained once every 4 years, properly and to date it has worked out fine and i am sure it will continue to do so.

I will get worried and probably be screaming for change when i feel i have not been entertained by a WC.

People have been complaining about FIFA and Blatter for YEARS before those bids, they were just *another* example of their distance from the real world. If the bids had gone other ways everyone would still want Blatter out and a change of working methods at FIFA.

I don't think Qatar and Russia getting the bids was a direct result of cash in brown envelopes and corruption, it was more about the desire of Blatter to leave a legacy and win the Nobel Peace Prize (not fucking kidding) The corruption and money all the FIFA members made is just a happy by-product.

Also Tierk yoiu should check out the court case that was taken against FIFA about loads of corrupt bollocks which they only got away with because of very slack Swiss law (fifa just happens to be based in Switzerland, the land of money siphoning and not football) or that investigative show on the BBC that showed some proof of Jack Warner and others receiving hundreds of thousands of money from front companies etc

I think Ronaldo's done more running in that footage than Bellendotelli has for City this season.
