Last week when the new MotD intro was shown, i thought it was going to be a one off for a beginning of season special, but looks like its going to be the permanent intro now...

... Have to say, i don't like it!

And Terry is a lucky, lucky man...

agree i think it's shite. Think i'm gonna have to redo my team to put drogs into it, have a feeling he's gonna rake in the points.

Ok, just seen Stoke's "second" goal. If Chris Foy the ref is claiming he couldn't see it when he was standing 5 yards away then he should give up as a referee...

It's irrelevant as their was a foul on gomez, also at real speed it's hard to tell. We didn't get the ref's angle. The post could have been blocking him.

Until we get some change that will allow goal line tech, this kind of thing will always happen; it always has. You can't castrate the refs for making mistakes just because we have more media coverage of them.

He was 5 yards away. Foul on the goalkeeper or ball crossing the line. It doesn't matter, you don't need technology to correct an official stood 5 yards away...

Mark Lawrenson is an idiot. Complaining about "foreigners" playing for different national teams.

Remind us again Mark where you were born and what country you represented?

lol Marc, as much as Arteta could help at the moment (and yes I realise I said last year he wouldn't get in the first team), it really would not feel right for a Spanish player to be representing us. Let other countries do what they will, rather than looking for quick fixes we need to focus on the long term. Producing players that are of a better quality, along with the coaches for the next 10 -20 years and on.

My Dad was saying the Scottish FA have sent coaches over to be trained at the Ajax academy so they can then come back and pass the skills along. It's not a bad idea.

on the been transfer goss section;

In an effort to be fit for Corinthians' match against Vitoria next Sunday, former Brazil striker Ronaldo has been banned from eating chips and drinking alcohol.
The 33-year-old's party lifestyle has seen him put on a considerable amount of weight but he insists he is not ready to retire from professional football.
"I will make a decision at the end of the season, " he said on Twitter. "It is true that I am carrying more weight than I would like and that I'm not very mobile, but in 15 days I will be fine." (Sunday Times)

Chelsea players are the target of an in-house prankster who keeps creeping into the dressing room at their Cobham training ground and cutting holes in their underpants.

Well Earned penalty from Young there.

Sounds like it was well taken by Carew too, Barton's goal is apparently a good one 1-0 toon
Now with goal:

great half of football.

Typical Newcastle though, this could still end with a 6-0 win or a 4-3 loss.

still not sure about the back 4.....:fluffle:

What a load of shit. From top six to bottom six. I thought it might take a couple of seasons but MacDonald and Lerner might manage it in one. GG boys. O'Neill did the right thing.

How bad were Villa? That is a poor Newcastle side as shown by last week and yet they took Villa apart today.

There was one given for shirt pulling yesterday. More inconsistency from the refs.

Is Shrek injured? He is losing me points.

Not strong enough by United this half, too many people not giving 100%.
