You tell them Anelka!

"This whole thing is a nonsense, to turn the page because [new coach] Laurent Blanc needs to be able to work in peace," Anelka told France Soir.
"These people are clowns. I'm dying with laughter," he added.

LOL :)

Also Fergie had a dig at Money City today.

I don't think Anelka should be calling anyone a clown, he is one of the singularly most unpleasant footballers in a profession that produces unpleasant individuals with regularity.

He has no respect for his country or his international managers, joke of a man.

The play off with Leicester was fantastic made whatever hairs stand up on back me neck was buzzing that night.

Also the game against the peg sellers down the road was great especially sealing win in last minute

Atmosphere if occasion is good apart from that not like the ninian every other Saturday.

Considering it's just Blackpool on Saturday, he probably won't play Cesc, or Robin, or Song, or anyone remotely important :p

What makes Anelka one of the "singularly most unpleasant footballers" ? Is it because he doesn't smile enough for the media? :m00:

He has no respect for Domenech, but then who does? He has no respect for the FFF, but why should he? I'm sure he has plenty of respect for his own country, just not the bureaucratic bullshit side of it's football.

His behaviour when at Arsenal? I don't believe the epithet 'Le Sulk' was intended as praise.

Refused to train at Real Madrid and was reviled by his fellow players and coaches.

Fell out with the manager at PSG.

Fell out with Domenech and acted like a spoiled brat at the World Cup. Following it up by showing his lack of class dealing with the French football authorities.

BBC Sport - Football - Ahsan Ali Syed pledges £100m war chest to Blackburn

as a blackburn fan i dont particually want this to happen. I know people may say yeayea but its the same as JackWalker, although the difference was, he was a real fan. I am pleased how they are performing atm, and dont see how giving 100mil will make much difference. They are competing with chelsea and city in the money race and we will just produce a bad name for ourselves. Saying that the walker family who own blackburn atm seem to be getting bored and the club is slowly getting into more debt. The guy has never been to blackburn, im sure it would persuade him not to if he ever did lol.

cant win either way ;p

I think Anelka is quite a good professional actually. He gives respect when it's given, the same as most people. Domenech showed no respect for anyone, and the issue with the French squad was down to press leaks more than anything else.

The other things you "quoted", Turamber, are just speculation, they were media stories, we don't know what actually happened.

English - the guy as said positive things about buying Blackburn, and while it may just be PR spin, it's refreshing that he is buying the club from a sporting and fan point of view rather than a business one.

I believe a lot of the negative press he got at Arsenal was down to his very greedy brothers being his agent, and i believe since he got rid of them he has been a lot more professional in his dealings.

Love this man shitty quote:

"I think that Milner is a good player, an English player which is important," Mancini said on Tuesday. "I think that Milner can play in different positions."

Well good to know he only "thinks" he's a good player, or what position's he can play in. Got to wonder if he's actually got any say in who is bought.

Also wouldn't it be great if Milner had a bit of a shit season warming the bench while Ireland recaptured his form of the 08/09 season?

Given whats happened to everyone bar city and Chelsea, I dont buy into the optimsm that fans get when a buy out by someone rich is mentioned.

Thankfully, the posts ive read from blackburn fans on football forums are very level headed and they are certainly keeping their feet on the ground.

They need to be Marc because that club is going nowhere, up or down. Small town, small support with a very small hardcore followings. There is no way to grow that club without spending £500 million, buying some trophies and attracting fans from the far east. Without that a club the size of Blackburn can not implement a business plan that can fund the wages or aquisition of top players.

It was possible 15 years ago because the sums of money required were a small fraction of what it now costs. No one is coming into put that much money in to Blackburn, there is no way to recoup even a fraction of the outlay. Blackburn fans beware, your club is about to be hijacked by a shark who is after a share of the Sky TV money.

Most Villa fans are assuming he'll end up on the right of midfield, replacing Sean Wright-Phillips. Milner can do a job there but his best position is definitely central midfield, and playing in other positions will surely endanger his England chances.

Mind you he'll have barrowfulls of cash to ease the pain.

Exactly. The only reason why we get 20,000 fans each week is because they have one of the lowest season ticket prices in the league, something like 200 for the season. It is a small town compared to other clubs, and im worried it will damage our reputation. We are playing well with very limited resources and I think our reputation has grown stronger due to that. Even if he does buy the best players in teh league, it wont mean anything if we get anywhere. The club is selling its soul ;s

personally i think villa got the better deal, imho ireland is just as good as milner, milner been really overhyped since city were interested, Ireland + cash is very nicely done

depends how much cash i guess tho say's deal worth £26 mill but i guess city could value Ireland at £25 mill for example

both home grown quota aswell

See, this guy has a lot of money and business to make him money. He's stated that he's not buying a club to make money, so let's give him the benefit of the doubt for now?

Great signing, probably a bit more loyal than Milner too. (Ok, he's clearly a money whore who wants champs league jsut like Milner, but Turamber is still ill you got to be nice!)

Yep, they won't play him in centre mid, he's not defensive enough :p

I'll fish out my gamer tag and do that some time, I'll suck though, been playing a lot of pro recently.

Fucking hell, the Glazers/Hick/Gillett all said the same, in the end they are all after a payday. A payday at the expense of the fans, the club and football as a whole. Do not be so short sighted.
