Lol, Vidic was being touted at £25 million when he had 18 months left on his deal, he is now on a new 4 year contract and United would not let their captain go for anything less than £35 million at this point, mainly because we just don't need the money. Hernandez is very very young but is a freescoring striker who is still adjusting to football and life here, he is already proven at international level and has scored vital goals for United. His market value might only be £15 million but again United do not need the money and so the bid would have to be £25 million upwards. You seem to forget, United have proven cash reserves of well over £100 million even after paying off £220 million worth of PiK loans. We only sold Ronaldo because it was a silly money bid, any player in the world bar Messi would have been sold at that price.

Well wasn't it in that blog thing you posted a few days back? When they did the bond issue earlier this year they had to state cash reserves in the financials, legal requirement.
