Nothing, but you're bashing away at Real Madrid pointlessly so I thought I'd boot Liverpool into touch :p

If he really was "one of the best players in the world" as many Spurs fans have been yapping on about then he would not have been bench warming for a team which couldn't even make it past Lyon in the Champions League round of 16.

He said one of the best buys of the season, not best player you fucking muppet.

Thanks for clarifying Everz :)

Yeah, I was trying to think which purchased player this season has had as much of an impact as Van Der Vaart.
Granted he's a bit fat and does not play every game, but he's playing really well.

Reason I asked the question was due to Football Manager. They always show a list of the best purchased players at teh end of the season. Thought we could add some names, have a vote etc.

Oh and not forgetting worst purchases this season.

Also, VdV's time and Real is not as straightforward as Keitanz makes out. He was fantastic for them, but he was always put back on the bench when other players were back from injury - players who were considered more important by the Madrid hierarchy.

:twak: no, really? just saying he is quite overrated.

Chamakh/Dembele/Boateng/Di Maria/Ozil were the best for sure.

I just don't think Mourinho would have let him go so cheap if he was really that good.

Clubs don't keep players they feel they don't need, and they also don't need to keep players that want to play more. Not every club is ruthless with their players.

As for money; the manager at Real has no say in that afaik (Vasc will have to confirm this), but Mourinho simply says who he wants and does not, the board and the president do the actual dealings.

Dembele looks like a top four player from what I have seen of him, same with Boateng :/

I originally planned to make this question just for the EPL, but no harm with including other nations. Does kinda make it harder to vote though.

Chamakh has started well, especially since he has to play the Arsenal way, which is a bit different to normal.

Chamakh has given Arsenal something different

Ozil/Di Maria work well at Madrid

Taxi??

Just get the metro like everyone else, making sure to get it from Piccadilly station rather than one of the stops in the city centre, it gets rather full on match days

And pay £4 to be stood like cattle? No ty, I always just pay an extra Alan Wicker and can stretch my feet out

Chelsea seem to have folded like a cheap hooker that's been punched in the stomach lately but lets reserve the "season over" comments until after the whole game atleast!

Fabianski is so shit. I don't think I'd swap him for for our league one keeper. He would never have saved that Nasri shot in the first half and was in the worst possible position when chelsea scored from that free kick.

What a bunch of clowns, Kalou has epitomised why he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11, absolute waste of space.

Assuming United win their game in hand that puts us 9 points behind with 20 games to go. Unless we can win 17+ of those we might as well just look to get into next season's Champions League.

Carlo should ask for Ray Wilkins back in January, no way is our slump as coincidental as that.

Best result would be a Chelsea win for you actually ;/

Not a chance, you have never been more wrong. Chelsea are a massive threat and they will get alot better than they are now. Arsenal are a very good side but over a season they just aren't strong enough. The gap over Chelsea is far more important, they are now looking at a 9 point gap if we win the game in hand and that is alot of ground to make up.

After a few perhaps but they keep rolling over and carrying on with failure so I'm not so sure they are going to recover.

Our next set of league games;

Bolton (H)
Villa (H)
Wolves (A)
Blackburn (H)
Bolton (A)

We need to win all of those just to keep pace, let alone move up the table!

Bolton is always a fight, you should beat Villa even on current form, Wolves are unpredictable but I still see you winning unless you dropped points in the previous two games which could be like blood in the water and make Wolves come out all guns blazing. Blackburn are a farce, you don't get three points there and you don't deserve a top two finish. Bolton again, at the your place this time and probably 3 points for you.

Your lot need to turn it around right away, that is certain, if the gap jumps to 12 points I think you can forget it as I don't see United falling apart that badly at any stage. Arsenal will keep plugging away but the truth is their squad is not strong enough and a few of the players aren't mentally strong enough either, if Chelsea put a 4-5 game winning streak together you will catch and maybe even pass Arsenal before the end of January. If not you could be in a real battle for a top 4 spot and I don't say that lightly, the Russian needs to open his wallet and beef up your defence a bit for a start.
