It is hilarious tbh but also ridiulously disrespectful. Surely Fabregas would take offence to that?

He may do. I mean, its obvious Fabregas is grateful for everything Arsenal have done for him, but he doesnt want to be there. I cant see him changing his mind over what Xavi said. After Pique, Xavi is the person most close to Fabregas. Surely Fabregas will see it as what it is, someone close to him venting their frustration, even though it is incredibly childish, but frustration does that to some people.

Either way, it has to stop.

Where/what you need to strengthen: lal. A second number 9. Left back, right back, left wing, right wing and probably defensive mid.

.

Overall hopes/expectations: Win the FA cup and finish in the top 4.

Its optimistic, but not unreasonable dont you think?

Those are the bits I love, so you want 6 players, with no money, and you think that with Spurs and Man City having strengthened or not lost anyone important, that you can challenge for the top 4? Heh :) Good luck with that, I think you should be aiming for a good Europa cup run, maybe a carling cup run and take this season as a stabilising and rebuilding job.

I'd be dissapointed if we ended up outside of top4 again. :p

I'd say we need a new striker and a left back. That is all!

Big loss though, he would have given you great depth when fighting on four fronts.

The first question is "where do you need to strengthen"... so a lot of places as we have some truly shocking players in those positions :< The second question is "who do you want to sign". I know we dont have the money to buy 6 players... hence i choose two reasonable players who are more than likely available at a price we can afford. I guess the person who came up with the idea decided to distinguish between the two questions because it shows where a team needs to strengthen and where they are going to strengthen. Or thats how i read it.

I genuinely think we can finish in the top 4. Tottenham have hardly strengthened so far, they desperately need some centre backs. Man city, who knows what they are going to do?

Possibly, it's yet to be seen. However he was declining and pretty much 4th choice now in my eyes.

Ancelotti said we'll be replacing players who have left, and not just with Ramires, so i'll wait and see what happens.

If liverpool can keep torres+gerrard fit then theres no reason they cant reach the top four again

Tbh getting annoying now lol J.Cole,Ballack,Deco,Carvallo ect ect all leaving and what do we have in return? Benayoun lol. One reason we Won last eyar and stat contenders is our depth and now we seem determined to reduce that:(

So far freed up about 15m a year on wages i think though :p And you forgot Arsenal-tormentor; Belletti.

Ramires should be announced on thursday or friday - he has his work permit hearing on thursday afaik. Then there is still the possiblity we'll sign some more players as that's been hinted at. Otherwise we'll have Mancienne/Bruma battling for 4th choice CB and the return of Bosingwa at rightback. Matic and Sturridge will probably introduced into the first team as cover if needed.

You didn't really need any of them bar Carvalho though Talivar, they were on too high wages, and didn't perform. Also with the new squad rules, it makes sense.

I wouldn't say we need him. Of all the players we've let go Ballack has contributed the most imo (recently that is, last 2 years) Alex has played more than Carvalho in the recent past and we've looked kind of frail with both Carvalho+terry at times, especially defending set pieces.

I was going to say Alex has always looked to be a rock at the back tbh. Carvalho has been shaky and times, was a good time for him to go tbh.

Would you play Mancienne as a CB then, hes far and beyond a better DM.

I'd be fairly happy for Bruma/Mancienne to battle for 4th choice CB if it's ever needed, although i agree he looks better at DM.

Far and wide a solid DM, got a good future ahead of him if he can improve in that position as hes good on the ball going forward also, hopefully gets some game time at chelsea if hes not heading back to us. Would hate to see his talents go to waste.

that just leaves City imo :p

I'd be pretty content if we have a transitional period tbh, i expect we'll still be challenging on all fronts though

I cant say i'm not reveling in Villa imploding on itself. Wolves vs Blues for title of king of the West Midlands. ;)

This Bruma kid is rated very highly from what i hear, he's in the Dutch squad for tomorrow's friendly iirc, even if it is mostly second string players thats pretty good.

I don't think he's ready for first team yet tbh, he's still only 18. Big potential though.

He needs experience so he doesn't get made to look silly being naive, Berba did him like a kipper on Sunday.
