Actually for the quality of football at the moment it is the best league, over the last couple of seasons the Premier League has gone backwards and whilst it might be more competitive that is really down to the top sides weakening as much as the lower clubs gettting stronger. Barcelona and Real Madrid play some beautiful stuff, Villareal/Valencia/Sevilla are all capable of some very attractive football as well. As good as anything if not better than I have seen in England this year.

even the shit teams can play good football. It's not as competitive, but I find it more enjoyable. I'm only supporting my own team though.

Why owners cause so many uneeded problems lol, liverpool and united and now chelsea :( Yes lets get rid of wilkins even if manager and player like him!!
( using that as a convenient excuse for bad form!:p)

Don't lump us in that boat please. The Glazers may have lumped us with debt, but unlike Hicks and Gillet, and Roman, they have stayed right out of footballing matters.

I haven't enjoyed the Premier League this year and it isn't just because United seem to be playing at 50%, too many dreary games and none the top sides are not playing with the quality of two years ago.

I can fault them for alot but you are right, they let Fergie do what he thinks is best and have never undermined him in the eyes of players or fans.

Fergie would have walked and let it known why had they even thought about trying any of the shit that goes on at Liverpool or Chelski.

Carlo can surely not be happy if the rumours and press stories are even only partially true?

Signs of meddling were there when Jose left tbh, Grant was weak enough to allow it as was big Phil. Hiddink was firm but then he had them by the balls and he knew it. Carlo is starting to look a little fragile now, the whole Wilkins thing doesn't make alot of sense and if the manager wanted him to stay then why is he gone?

I struggle to watch a full game of premiership football unless it involves Chelsea or united. Back in circa 2000 the premiership was mint and even the games involving mid table teams were watchable. Now its just dire. Ive started watching my home town team in the Blue Square premier and its much more exciting but that could be something to do with the fact we are the chelsea of that league with Crawley being Man City.

Another Houllier Horror Show. Pretty passing but no end result. Lack of defensive cohesion and preparation - giving fouls aways for fun and then being unable to compete physically or aerially.

He might have only been here a few games but I'm heartily sick of him. I do wish he'd take Grandad Pires and f*** off back to France.

This is the first year in about 10 years I've bothered to watch the Premier League, nice to see some of the lower clubs doing pretty well. Watching Man U, Chelsea etc dominate season after season is fucking dire.

Exactly, watching one or two teams dominate the rest is boring. Shaping up to be a cracking season.

It is interesting because it is close but the football is not of the same quality we have had in the 5 years previous to 2009.

Rumours of Ancelotti leaving Chelsea. Sky Bet have slashed his odds from 10/1 to 6/4 that he will be the next Premiership manager to leave.

It seems Shitty have upped their game...shame.

A nice little swan song for Teves in my fantasy football team, though he may get a reprieve as I can't make up my mind who to replace him with.

Currently Teves, Drogba and Davies up front. Even Drogba is failing to get many points lately so he could be shown the door soon.

Carrol, Davies, Varney all much cheaper and in the goals. Or Tevez if you want to spend.

Then again I guess the prio is not to get Rafa back, but to get Roy out.

"At the end of the day Hodgson has;

Loaned out a £20 million pound player in the prime of his years, with an option to buy for £13 million ( - £7 million)
Brought in two 30 years old reserves for £8-9 million + 2 highly rated teenagers (money which will never be recouped because of their age)
Alienated our best CB
Publicly humiliated our first choice RB
Publicly humiliated our reserve team
Moved our eldest CB to RB
Loaned out our LB with the best potential
Bought a CM for £10 million and moved him to the RW
Tried to turn our world class striker into a lunking journeyman
Moved our best AM into a deep lying holding midfielder role
Alienated our best prospect in the reserves
Dropped his leading goalscorer to the bench
Moved our new AM to the middle after he requested, then back to the RW one game later
Lauded our new LW before dropping him to the bench never to be seen again
Told our misfiring LW that he would get his chance, put him up front for one game then dropped him out of sight again
Criticized the leagues top keeper for 5 of the last 6 seasons (golden gloves) for being too creative

Concluded after all this (having dropped, humiliated, loaned out, alienated or inexplicably ignored half a dozen players) that he needs 5-6 players in January... despite claiming we were over staffed in the summer."
