To be fair to the lad though he has pace to burn and can beat a man with tricks, if United get his head and heart focused on what he needs to learn then we have got ourselves a good player. If not then he won't end up costing us anywhere near £7 million anyway, alot of that money depends on him becoming a success.

Spanish papers reporting that United have pretty much signined De Gea, but the 2 clubs cant agree on wether he will come in Jan or summer. Transfer fee agreed and player has agreed to terms. Quality signing that. The only player in the world id want to replace Valdes.

Edit: Before Raven pipes up about football league 2 keepers being better than La Liga keepers, I meant, in the sense of a long term replacement.

Spanish papers reporting that United have pretty much signined De Gea, .

The rumour mill is certainly buzzing, would be a good replacement - but like most keepers we've had since Schemeical, he'll have to prove him self quickly or be yet another flop.

Sky Sports | Football | News | Ballack - Carlo overruled

If this is true, along with Wilkins being sacked, I'm worried Carlo could walk at some point with the decisions going over his head

BBC Sport - Football - Ex-Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins to take legal advice

Regarding Ballack though, I don't think he or Carlo can be surprised. Everyone knew the financial situation, those players had to go to ensure you become a self-sufficient club again.

a couple of my mates at uni were in madrid last year and had season tickets for atleti. they cant shut up about how good de gea is.

also, they paid like 250 euros for their tickets which included cup and european games. insane compared to our prices.

Yep, fuck premier league prices.

I've got no chance of affording regular tickets to United, not plus the travel costs. London premier league clubs are just as bad. It's ridiculous what my cousins pay for two season tickets to the Emirates.

Me and another cousin may get Palace season tickets next season for our fix of live footy.

David De Gea will be a top keeper, he's more than half way there with Athletico, he's fricken awesome. Quite funny too as Athletico spent oodles on a young keeper the same year De Gea broke into their first team and could have saved them a small fortune.

Yeah, I saw Emenalo wasn't quite 'qualified' (for want of a better phrase) to coach the first team, so it seems a little peculiar to promote him to such a role, but equally the press have obviously taken this story and run with it.

I just want to know why Super Ray was sacked :(

What a game, I'd love to sit in Harry Redknapp's half-time team talks, one day we may even turn up for the first half!

Fabregas the key man today, missed a glorious chance to make it 3-0 then handles the ball in the box, cheers Cesc! :drink:

I've got Cesc, Bale, VdV and Varney all in my starting lineup in fantasy league today, good stuff!

Well played Spurs, excellent win. Arsenal were so much better in the first half they should have walked the second half ... but it seems when they think it will be easy their performance level drops off.
