Owen was all over Carra as well so was a handbags at dawn and nothing should be given for it as they both commiting offenses.

ref gave a decision of a freekick. Under the laws of the game, last man AND prevent a goal scoring opportunity both mean it should have been a red card as he made teh decision that carra was the offending player.

Not seen a proper replay that shows a closeup of both the players. But ref gave the freekick (unlike the penalty box incident) which means he should have followed through with the card

Well strictly speaking I agree, but the ref knew he couldnt give straight red after his last decision.
But as he was working on giving 1 card below what it should be (carra should be red but got yellow, lucas should easily had a yellow but got nothing ) then vidic's yellow should have been nothing

But seriously yes, vidic should have been a straight red.... BUT... if carra wasnt on the pitch then would that have happened? The ref made everything hard on himself at the end by being to scared to give the red card initially and this swayed the way the game turned out with masch probably ending up being a scapegoat for the ref to say "but i sent a Liverpool player off when i thought it was right".

Vidic

I only just watched the 2nd half, due to sleeping. It wasn't a great game, Liverpool had the better play for most of it. Vidic did not have much choice, the ref was poor with his yellow card decisions all game though, and Carragher should have seen straight red. For me the game came down to Rooney in the first half being half a yard offside, and Torres in the 2nd half holding his run.

Only benefits chelski that result, Liverpool are well off the pace at the moment.

Anyone else notice how many fouls liverpool commit against other big teams? It's always over 20 which is an insane amount.

Even with the harsh looking second booking for WestHam, they looked the more lively of the teams in the last 10 minutes. RVP could have given them the win with the header that was too close to the keeper (good save still though), but other then that it looked like West Ham had the better of the game.

I thought it was game over at half time at 2-0, but they didnt fold like blackburn and came out fighting and deserved to get a point

West Ham had better of the Second Half but we should have closed the game off in the first we were all over them but were coasting a bit more umph and we would have gone in to half time 4 or 5 up and it would have been over. All credit to west ham though Second Half they showed up and played well. Was not sure about that penalty though and the second yellow was a hand ball so cant see a problem. At the time i though the penalty scorer should have been off for a elbow on cesc did not catch a replay though.

Didnt think much of Zlatan's freekicks, but his overall play last night was very good.

Barca actually looked back to their best with going forward though showed some defensive frailities still. That said i think they knew they didnt need to defend, lol.
