Arsenal at getting close to the "Takeover" due to 29.9% of share holdings now.

Be interesting if he manages to sneak his way beyond this limit and takeover the club, and if so what it will actually do to the place. The stability has been one their strong points, as has the set wage structure etc. Could all go chaotic if there a new owner who wants the club run differently though (not saying the guy will change it, but always that possibility)

The American is part of the agreed lock down on shares so i can't see him taking over without the backing of the board. But as i understand it while the club does not want a single owner he is seen as the lesser of two evils by a long shot, due to his successful running of other sports teams and the fact he's not a massive ****. So if it came to a choice i think the rest of the board may well sell to him for less than the russian, and i know a few supporters groups back the guy.

As for what he would change im not sure why he would we are making money so unless he gets a new manager to try and buy our way up the league we are best left to get on with it.

Really looking forward to the game tomorrow. I can't see Chelsea playing as badly as they did against Wigan but it will be our first full house of the season, lunch time kick-off and one heck of an atmosphere.

We've got a very good record against Chelsea at our place, here's hoping for at least a point.

I'd be happy for a point as well tbh, we're usually poor after international break and Villa away is one of the hardest games of the season, apart from ballack we have most of our first team though :) hopefully finally see some of j cole and zhirkov

Fully deserved three points against Chelsea today. Beating Chelsea is one thing, but getting the better of the shittest referee I've ever seen is quite another. The guy had absolutely no idea what he was doing. Look out for the penalty incident in the first half for an example.

That Chelsea can't defend corners and are unable to change their formation to cope with wingers is hardly a ringing endorsement of their new manager. Wonder if he'll still be there by January?

was clear penalty and after denied i said that chelsea would score inside 5-10mins of it. didnt disappoint.

villa done well to get teh result but chelsea defending on set pieces was awful. if villa put a few more decent balls in instead of cech getting catch practice they may had a few more goals.

..
good start from united. Bolton looked like they could get a goal though because all the freekicks given away.

And lol at bents goal :D

The corner defending was awful. Ricky and Drogba were at fault and will probably receive a roasting for that. JT's reaction after the second goal was there for all to see.

We were unlucky today though, created plenty of chances, over twice as many as Villa according to the sky sports stats, but everytime we had a chance to shoot it got toe poked at Friedel :(

I'm still not keen on the diamond though. Lampard's ongoing goal drought is a concern and we have so many wingers at our disposal, why not use them. It may end up as a case of Ancelotti trying something new or ending up out the door, depending on which route he takes.

Chelsea wasnt bad luck, it was simply awful finishing which isnt about luck :p

They got their luck on their goal with the bounce, after that i dont think they had a real shoot on goal (ie hit well and on target)
