Ireland extended my World Cup pain, they made the playoffs and so my chances of a cheaper flight to Durban are looking less likely. Ahh well, my family are Irish so I am delighted to see them do well, until they play England and then I hope we see Rooney hump the fuckers! :D

First half i was like :/

Second half i was like :), then i got like :/, then i went :), but then i went :/, and after a while it eventually got :(

Was a good game tho, congrats Denmark. Altho I am a bit bummed about the offside when Zlatan was alone with the goalie in the first half. And if the second goal really should have been denied. But that is football for you :(

Probably the most accurate and reasoned post in this entire thread to be honest. All 3 are top class on thier day and a match for any other left back in the world if not better when on top form.

I would agree to this if wasnt people so damn blinkered about their own player and slags of other teams players but refuse to even mention their own player that makes the bigger screwups :p

Cole still has defensive faults, but maybe it because I generally watch him against the bigger teams and with England and there more chance of this being exposed from time to time that gives me this view.

When he playing at his best then yes he up there with the best, but I wouldnt go about claiming he the best in the world as to be so you need to be consistant whereas he seems to play at his mediocare>good level instead of at his best.

With that said i wouldnt even call Evra the best in the world, he is very much like cole. Defensively I think Evra is stronger but at times he doesnt have the urgency to get back after one of his offensive runs.

Cole has consistently kept the likes of Ronaldo and Messi quiet in big games - how exactly is that defensively flawed? :p

I would also add that Clichey has had a very indifferent start to the season so far a few mistakes at the back and not getting forward as often. I would still not swap him for Cole or Evera but i would not claim hes the best on current form.

To be honest, if you got alot of pace then half the battle is already won against them, especially Ronaldo. Just there not many players that have got the pace to keep up with Ronaldo which is why he is so deadly. Messi takes a little more, but if you watch Ronaldo against players that have lots of pace you see he no where near as effective

...

BAH just seen that it Villa vs Chelsea on sky next saturday. May need to watch that as plenty of British players on show

Tbh i was just trying to wind up you Man Yoo fans to begin with :p

I agree with Ch3t, although i think Clichy isnt quite as good defensively yet but he is younger and could also be to do with Arsenal attacking ethos.

WOLVES FOR EUROPE.. lawl

The amount of bad luck we had is terrible. Time for the gods to align and get us 6 points over Everton and Vile.

You guys say that, but it's the England medical teams decision, not the LIverpool medical team. Less chance of players bullshitting injury when they are already with the squad.

Yeah i can understand that Ch3t, but does it not seem a little odd that Gerrard is tragically injured before a meaningless international game and then makes a magical recovery for the weekend?

If they doubt his injury then they could always force him to play, also if capello really thought it mattered either way, I'm not sure he would do nothing.

Also the reason Gary Lewin left Arsenal for England is because of this. Now before a club can rule a player out as injured they have to see him an impartial doctor. So tbh he is prolly not fit to play on Wednesday.

I'd really like to watch an England game live at Wembley, but the distance and timing of the games is very off putting.

Random fact :D

Ah fuck it rage been boiling for days mates. MM needs to sort shit out and stop playing the dross. Keogh isnt good enough especially with SEB fit, Milias and Zubar are playing with Champions League (and international) recognistion yet there on the fucking bench. Sort this shit out.

Team for Everton should be.

Hennessey
Foley (right)
Berra (centre)
Zubar (centre)
Mancienne (left)
Kightly
Milijas
Henry
Jarvis
Doyle
Ebanks-Blake

If this happens then snatching 3 points could be a possibility :D, cos i'm not going to the fucking championship fizzypop again. ;D

CB, he'd be better at LB though. Need to powerful/experienced heads of Zubar/Berra in the middle.

Arsenal at getting close to the "Takeover" due to 29.9% of share holdings now.

Be interesting if he manages to sneak his way beyond this limit and takeover the club, and if so what it will actually do to the place. The stability has been one their strong points, as has the set wage structure etc. Could all go chaotic if there a new owner who wants the club run differently though (not saying the guy will change it, but always that possibility)
