could be end of his career :/ the idiot who did the tackle walked away with the typical "what me? what did i do..." nevermind the guys leg dangling in pieces o_O

exactly, and the worst thing is that he actually did it on purpose... he deserves a lifetime ban...

I thought he went for the ball but the other player got there first -however, you are always asking for trouble going in studs first like that, most dangerous type of challenge. Lifetime ban is harsh - these things happen unfortunately, it's a contact sport, accidents happen.

they have some kind of history. the player who got injured is not the most clean player. He made a foul on witsel (the one in red) two years ago. And really, if you watched the game you could see that he wanted revenge. I'm not saying he had the intention to break his leg but he sure wanted to make a hard foul.

Actually, one of his teammates went like this: 'Well, wasyl made a foul on him two years ago, you can still see the marks on his back.." so they are justifying that horrid attack.. pisses me off :)

Early deadline day rumours are suggesting Bentley+10m for Martin Petrov, David Nugent back to Preston and Niko Kranjcar to Spurs.

Pompey have to be relegation fodder now.

I look at it the other way, Pompey are also linked with a LOT of players and could go from relegation favourites to mid-tablers after today.

The Bentley - Petrov deal is a joke, Petrov is a class winger, Bentley is well.... Bentley.

Heres an interesting one. Based on the wealth of their owners, who are the second richest club in the premier after Man City?

Villa or Sunderland?

Both Villa and Sunderland have a single owner who isn't as rich as Roman Abramovich.

The way the question was posed leads me to believe that it is a trick question and the answer will be a club that is on the stock market and thus has many owners. If you sum up their total worth it will be rather large. I would guess at somebody like Arsenal who have several rich shareholders.

Arsenal are third, in front of Chelsea. Its actually Spurs with Daniel Levy & Joe Lewis who are second with £12b. Stan Kroenke & Alisher Usmanov of Arse are worth £12b. Roman is worth $8.5b then its sunderland with Ellis Short who is worth $7.5b

Still a long way behind Man City's owners who are worth $750b lol

And QPR and Notts County are worth more are they not, based on the wealth of their owners? If you expand it outside of them prem, they would be 2nd and 3rd. Mittal is worth about £20bn, and thats without Eccelstone's £2bn or so of wealth.

Madrid have got their squad down to 25 now i think, which is what they were aiming for, so had no need to sell him. Genuinly surprised they got rid of the likes of Robben and Sneijder though, world class players.

I think Pompey will be condemned to relegation now, getting rid of their last good outfield player in Kranjcar and replacing them with championship unknowns will be the nail in the coffin. Apparently someone phoned in on Talksport earlier today and said their Portsmouth FC 2009 calender had 8 out of 12 names missing as of 5pm today :p

Shame how the club is in freefall since Harry Ballsack left.

Have to agree Vlad, I really wish United had taken a punt on Robben and Wes Sneijder, they went for peanuts and would have added some fantastic attacking options to our side.

You have to wonder if Harry had some inside info on the fact Gaydamak was going to stop investing in the club. I reckon he did.

Hull striker Daniel Cousin picked the wrong moment to have a pop at manager Phil Brown. The Gabon international, who thought he was off on loan to Burnley, called Brown's tactics "bizarre and illogical" before the proposed switch fell through.

He made it public though i thought? Gaydamak openly admitted he couldn't continue to provide the funds necessary to bring the club to the next level when Pompey were spending double figures on the likes of Defoe/Crouch etc. I guess Harry didn't want to hang about potentially losing his best players whilst waiting for a new investor.

Thought he only made it public in January, and Harry had already gone before xmas?

How does everyone feel their respective clubs have done in the summer transfer window?

I'm quite happy. We've only signed a few players; Zhirkov looks to be great on the left, Matic and Sturridge are good future prospects and Turnball seems decent enough as a back-up goalie. The main thing is half our squad have signed contract extensions that'll tie them down for several years. :)

Oh and Ancelotti, so far so good.

horrible.

FC Copenhagen
Signed:
Nobody
Exit
Jacob Neestrup (Stavanger)
Nathan Coe (Randers)
Rasmus Würtz (AaB)
José Júnior (udelejet til Randers FC)
Morten Nordstrand (Groningen)

we've lost 5 players and signed zero  worst transfer window ever.

I'm not to unhappy, Valencia is good, Owen has looked sharp so far. Mybiggest concern is our lack of quality midfield cover - I feel we need a replacement for Hargreaves just in-case he does not make his recovery.
