Could there be some truth though? For some one who was supposed to play a big part this season he is missing games with no news of an injury?

There might be some truth in it, certainly his performance against Burnley was one of total disinterest and he was promptly dropped from the squad for the Wigan game but not due to injury.

sounds like the old days of the firms is still around after the millwall/west ham match. Bit sad really.

/edit. Yes turamber i know it happens everywhere else aswell, don't need to call me a plastic fan for that. I just don't think there is any place for violence in this day n ages game.

After going to Upton Park on sunday I am not surprised. Loads of families at that ground, but also loads of young, pissed up men who were very very aggressive. Combined with Millwall fans and you are asking for trouble. Honestly hope Millwall and West Ham get massive sanctions for this, if they are forced to play behind closed doors it may teach the so called "fans" a lesson.

Why was the game not played behind closed doors in the first place?

They knew it was gonna happen.. surely..

Wow, I am agreeing with Keitan. They did know it was going to happen, it has been all over various radio stations today that trouble could be on the cards. The footballing authorities and the police have been very reactive today when a proactive stance was called for.

Eh what, where, when? I just logged on and the first post I've read is a reply to something I've not even written yet. Uncanny.

So Lescott has seemingly gone to Man City now in the £24m deal.

Realistically not a bad price, but still disapointing overall he has decided to go. We've at least gone in to try and pickup some reinforcements now, heard a slight rumour that we might be going in for Portsmouth' defender Sylvan Distin, wouldnt be a bad signing.

Yakubu also started a reserve match last night for Everton in my town against Burnley, looks like he is doing okay considering he scored within 30seconds of the game starting!

You would be better off going for Senderos and Taylor than Distin. They are younger and can improve vastly. Looks like Villa have been linked with the same defensive targets, could be a bit of a race between you two to get your man ( or men).

Well that's one way of sorting out your defence, sell your captain and make one of your new signings captain xD

Villa have agreed a £6m fee to sign Manchester City centre-half Richard Dunne.

With Richard Dunne linked with a switch from Manchester City following the arrival of Joleon Lescott, defender Kolo Toure is set to be named the club's new captain

thats the story of evertons transfer market this summer tbh, every target we've wanted/gone for, other teams have poached in the last second it seems.

I fear we wont get anyone else before the end, if we dont i really cant see a good first half of a season for us.

Senderos is out of Contract at the end of the season so he will prolly be a cheap international level CB for someone.

A friend of mine has been speculating that the reason Wenger will not buy a striker is because Bendtner is in the last year of his contract and will not sign if a new player is purchased in over his head, and as Wenger likes him it might be the reason.

lol did you see the footage of the hooligans outside that pub. There were like about a hundred of them and about 10 police. The police just stood their ground while the rest of the hooligans jump up and down, chests puffed out, waving their arms around, taunting the police in a "come get some" kind of way" and then when a sole police officer walks forward, the hooligans run back.

I went to Millwall's last home game of last season, there's a good portion of the crowd which just spend the entire match facing away from the football looking at the away end and "giving it large"

violence at a millwall game? really? :p

they tore up the KC stadium when they went to Hull, to be fair to them though it seems the west ham "fans" were just as bad this time round!

The one person I felt for last night was Jack Collison, his father was killed on sunday in a motorbike accident.
Players all wore armbands in respect. The night was ruined by those scum pricks running on pitch, fighting etc.
The kid was in tears at the end. Really felt for him :(
