what knobheads the commentary team on ITV are.

"how long did it take us to prove it crossed the line, 15 secs, and they say that tv replays would slow down the game"....watches it again....."oh it didnt cross the line"

what a spanner, and these bell-ends will be commentating on world cup matches. think ill watch the games with the sound turned down and listened to Bewitched albums for background sound instead

Heh, when channel 5 first started to show games I used to have the picture on there and the radio on for the commentary, starting to think I will do it for ITV now too.

Except if you listen to the radio you may have to listen to Alan Green. A man so negative its rumoured that Casio are going to put his picture on the minus sign in future. One of the many media types who appears to both know little about football and hates it to boot.

Commentators are annoying most the time. Pretty much only pay attention to Andy Gray, and even then most his comments come way after I commented on the situation.

The Drogba over the line incident, I thought it was over the line initially but said it too close to call from that first view, on 1st replay I said it not fully over the line, they insist it is. on 2nd replay I said it clearly not all over line and they say they are not sure.... on 55th replay they mention the linesman couldnt possibly know from his position if it did or didnt which i commented on without needing a million replays :p

Alan Green is the utter suck.

Is there a more complete defender than Pique? Not content with being a world class centre half, he cant half pick a pass out.

If Ivanovic played at Centre-half then he would be king of Stamford Bridge.

congrats marc, although your signature is absolute bullshit with regards to not buying success. How much have you spend in the last 2 years? 200 million + ?

No team can claim to have not bought success, but our team has a backbone of players who have come through the system, more so than any other top european club and by a long way.

8 of the 11 who started that game came from the barca youth set up. No other top team comes close.

you still spend 50m+ each season

Last year we spent similar to man united if you take into account the exhange rate. Did they buy the title? Yes we splashed the cash this year on 2 players, one of whom has hardly featured and the other who has been a waste. Its hardly buying the title. You cant really argue that the basis of our success has been built on a backbone of players who came from the youth set up

But of course, it helps when you can claim Messi as part of the youth set up, even though hes Argentinian. Am I right in thinking in England, you cant do this? That any youngster has to be a certain age before he can sign for an english team from abroad?

i dont know, although most of Arsenal's team count as homegrown despite them buying most of them from abroad at ~17

it's illegal to sign someone on a proper contract until a certain age, but there are still ways of luring them in by offering them a place to live etc, like the Barcelona academy i guess

I was reading that the guy bough together the team with Cesc Messi Bojan ect is now at liverpool after being passed over for the managers job again. Do you think that will slow you down youth team wise?

And in england you can sign players at around 7 to a youth contract and at 16 to a scholars deal like a YTS then at 18 a pro contract. If i remember right players count as home grown if they play 3 years in the country before 21 so if you bring them in at 17 sign them pro at 18 by 21 they are home grown i think.

I read that too, he said that when he joined Liverpool their youth system was a joke aswell :p

I'm sure Barca have a solid infrastructure and would have done more to keep him if they thought it was necessary.

Copenhagen to win the Danish league again this year with OB second
Fucking yes.. Predicted before the season even started! What an amazing day it's been today! Everyone has been in such a good mood and the vibes have been awesome! After the game we got to run onto the pitch to celebrate. Carlsberg is currently in strike, but FCK still managed to get their specially made gold cans with the FCK logo delievered from Carlsberg. Just goes to show how great of a club I'm a part of. We've won the Danish Championship seven times in the past ten years. It just manifests this era as a Copenhagen dynasty in the Danish league

Copenhagen will also advance from the group stage in CL

Fuck... :(
