It's about right at 1-1. You lot need to calm down and remember we have a very important away goal, and that we are much much better at home. As Marc said, still time for a 2nd as well.

tbh we probably should be losing this game on statistics... they slaughtering us on everything. lol

Just old trafford, Ribery AND Robben.... scary.

edit:

fecking hell, we are lucky if we go to OT with a 1-1
Dont think we ever kept a clean sheet in Germany.

edit 2:

ffs that was absolutely shit from united. Awful all round performance and defending there for the goal is rediculous :(
Cant say they dont deserve it for their 2nd half

'99 reverse.. just hope Rooney ok, bet it broken meta knowing our luck

we're doomed... DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!

...

and in all honesty. wouldnt surprise me if we conceed before the match ends

edit:
There it is.. well done you stupid old git Neville. Been completely shit the entire game tbh.
Sure the goal was lucky, great finish by rooney, lol. but grr neville

edit 2:
Lyon look like they should be through 3-1 up.

SAF's decisions are normally sound but taking off two defensive mid's when the midfield wasn't even holding anyway and putting on two attacking players?? Fucking silly. And we have paid the price.

We didn't play worse without carrick and park though, we played better, Giggs also saw a lot of the ball.

It was the defence that cost us. Edwin was great, but had to do too much.

Perfect Ending.

not for you, you wanted Rooney's knee taken clear off remember!

...
Anyways. We were lucky not to get hammered that game with how awful we were.. that is the plus side.
Beyond that I really dont know what to take from the game... I really do fear that we are going to be without rooney for a minimum of the next week (so miss Chelsea and the return leg), can see him possibly missing the full season run in and the world cup as it really wouldnt surprise me if it is a metatarsal injury.
Not even waiting for the post match interviews. I honestly dont want to see/know what it is. Roll on vampire diaries. May have to shoot some people up on MW2 for 20mins :p

Agree on the second point, but when the possession is 60/40 not your way I would argue defensive midfielders are better - they would have had far less room in front of the back line. For that last period of time they had far too much time on the ball.

Let's just hope we can do something at the Trafford.

I love Olic, can't get enough of the Croatian team on FIFA10. Shame they're not all that IRL though. This digression brought to you by the resident Aston Villa fan who doesn't wish to talk about last weekend.

PS. What is the difference between a mini-cab and the Aston Villa net? You can only get six in a mini-cab.

Unless your surname is Patel, in which case you can get at least 12 and the kitchen sink into a mini-cab, and they'd all be able to live and sleep in it too.

Go go casual racism!

Utd lost because Carrick had a bad game.

utd lost because the entire midfield had a poor game (and Rooney missed a sitter :p )
Oo.. dont forget the defense were poor as well at the end, and Neville better be shot. lol

Dissapointing game, because half the team didn't show at all. But if you would offer me 2-1 deficit after the away leg in any champions league knock out stage against any team in the world you would take it.

I agree with what someone said earlier Park looked tired yesterday, but he spent so much time running for the pass to be completely ballsed up. One of the few good things to come out of the game was giggs getting some more pitch time, for his return against Chelsea this weekend.

It's a very big week now, we could pootentially be behind in the league an out of the champions league!!!!

Anyone got any predictions for tonight then?

28/1 odds on Arsenal to lead at HT with Barcelona at FT, tempting for a flutter

I think Martin Tyler broke Clive Tyldsley's record on mentioning the 1999 Final last night

God help us on the 2nd leg if Tyldsley is commentating. Any guesses on the number of mentions? 10? 20? 30? 90?

I think he will mention it the same amount of times as pints sunk by Paul Cooke on a night out, so 40 :)
