Are you talking about the Emirates? Despite there being 60k people in there last year people were away quickly and easily. I thought the police did a smashing job controlling the flow of traffic and I didn't have much of a problem getting on a train, or being the other side of London for the theatre an hour later.

I've never been to Emirates as an away fan, my cousin has a 2 season tickets so I go with him a couple of times a season. It's really bad for the home fans leaving, as soze said, the council buggered the planning.

OT is quite possibly the easiest ground to get away from if you drive. That said, I come from the north so straight past chill factor, past the trafford centre and you come to a huge industrial place, near the trafford park (?) pub thats now closed. Park on the industrial estate, 5 min walk to the ground, 5 min walk back, straight onto the motor way, nps. Has never taken us more than 15 mins from leaving the ground to being on the motorway.

I have only been to OT once for a Man U game and twice it was neutral for FA Cup semi's and the one vs Spurs was possibly the worst example of poor policing / stewarding ever. It took over 2 hours to even get out of the car park lol.

You are prolly right as i can get away from the Emirates in less than half an hour.

I suppose we could always come and watch Chelsea during a champions league game. 1. If all the OT'ers attended we'd double the attendence and 2. Getting away from the ground would be a piece of piss

78% of all fans at OT league games come from within a 40 mile radius of Manchester, if that takes 6 hours then it must be a steam powered train! Oh and what the fuck would you Chelsea fans know about passion and loyalty? Should I dig out your attendance figures for the last 40 years? Says it all I think, lots of 'new' fans once the money came in. Fret not, it has happened to all the clubs currently at the top to one degree or another but it makes me laugh when Chelsea fans slag off others and call them out in one way or another.

This is what it looked like during the 'low attendance' time of 1996.

Not really a shock attendances dwindled. Or average attendance is down from 30k in the premiership to around 13-14k in league one. Why? People don't want to pay £30 to watch league one football. I can imagine there is a similair story there.
