Well i started playin CS around August 2001, which was 1.0 i think? and i havent played any other game and dont intent to for a very long time... heh

Not really, I was encasing everything to do with HL as shit. As it is. Cease and desist being a pedant.

I sort of aggree kez.

Allthough i love TFC, for the game, i don't play it, as i hate the HL engine.
I play Q3F, as Q3 is great, allthough TFC is far more refined, and gameplay wise, is superior, even if the engine is p00, and the graphics are p00ish.
Even the Q2 engine feels more smoothe and modern than HL fs.

HL wouldnt be around for as long as it is if it wasnt for its mods. The game isnt going nowhere. The visuals on the HL engine are fine from my eyes. Who said games need good graphics to make a game playable?

/me still plays with the old cartoony tfc models.

Yes, HL would have died a long time ago if there were no mods. I actually prefer the old TFC models, much better.

HL Is shit, it's a fact. The HL engine has been updated many many times, which makes it very messy. What modern game has that many DLLs in the game dir?

The engine is suited to slow action, which is why it looks ok. However, it's very old now. Why play an old game? The networking is inefficent, the engine gives the client far too much game info(hence the cheats).

Quake3 is great, and when Beta2 of Q3F comes out, i might be able to delete TFC(and HL) for good.

A) It doesn't have the grenade bleep feature

B) Everyone that plays it are uptight, arrogant cunts

A) Yes it does. There's a cvar, something like `grenade_timer', which you can set. There are 2 timers included in Q3f, a bleep, and a Q3 style countdown.

B)Not really. The only bad thing with the game is that the Soldier is overpowered. But then again, what TF game hasn't had an overpowered soldier? :rolleyes:

Q3f looks nice but plays crap and imo it'l never have the appeal or comunity of tfc and cs .

Q3 engine looks nice but I'm yet to see a mod that actually does is justice .

OSP is fun but its not far of the standard game so you can hardly call it a mod imo

To be able to criticise or slag a game off someone has to be good at it? Can't work that way, and you know it.

You expect me to play TFC for longer than i did? I hated the game, and the though of playng it till I was good at it, simply so I could then justify what I already knew is pointless.

Everyone that slated DAiktana was wrong, obviously they weren't good enough at it to see the brilliance of Romero's creation.

Everyone jumps on the bandwagon and all say "tfc is shite" etc. Funny I know a few ppl who did the same and are now playing tfc more than the game that I first associated them with.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I also play Q3 and CS aswell as other games, they each have there pros and cons, calling 1 shit is just plain bollocks...
Each to his own imo, a little 'inter' game respect wouldnt go a miss.
