It's not PlayNCs fault if your local shops are selling the game knowing it wont work, they can't control supply of the game to shops due to the way supply chains work. That's your local shop and ISPs fault, it's got nothing to do with PlayNC who have obviously told you they know about the issue and have probably already told your ISP about it and it's them who have done sweet FA about it.

Keep complaining to your ISP, personally I'd change if my ISP was preventing me from playing any games I might even want to try!

Problem is that they are the only real ISP in the UAE. PlayNC have told me they are in contact with them to try and sort it out but I'm not holding my breath.

I also think the PlayNC should have tested it here before putting it on sale. Actually they seem to agree on that point as they have stated they will organise a refund if nothing can be done. Have to say I'm impressed with the EU Support team. They have been courteous, punctual and fair with their responses.

give it a while it takes getting used to but its pretty ok after the second class uppgrade

they really need to sort out some way to re enter and carry on an instance if you crash out or LD. Poor Svartalf was right at the end of a big instance then crashed out so basically meaning he`d wasted all that time, it happened to Soulshade aswell when we were instancing really sucks.

Other than that really fun game, persevere till 17+ and you really start to see the game opening up. Someone said to me they quit at 10 because it`s the same thing all the time shotgun blast stuff repeat ect, which couldn`t be further from the truth.

this sounds just like WoW in the begining, first 3 months is was pointless to do a instance as they crashed all the time, atleast on the server I was playing

Its not the server crashing, its the fact that if you go LD or get removed from a group in a instance, you get ported back to the nearest alied base. There for loosing any progress you have within it.

You don't lose any progress in an instance when you get ported out.

Some quests get restarted, some don't. The ones you have finished don't get restarted unless you go to a new instance.

Sucks anyway a bit, but the number of crashing is getting lower for me with each patch.

tried defending an outpost from a full alien invasion? can be quite "epic" if you get the big assaults.

and the ones in the next zones are even better.

I'm 36lvl here and its only getting better after each level. Can't wait to see how it is 45lvl+

Started the 3 day trial today, good fun so far, just made level 9. Feels fresh compared to other mmo's ive played recently - sure its still about "kill that many of that or go here and there and deliver this" but its fast paced and everything is broken up by the base assaults/defences, plus there are no elfs and dwarfs etc. Quests with multiple choises are also a cool touch. Plays pretty well on my aging computer too.

Havent decided if im gonna get it yet, will play the last 2 days of the trial first. But im leaning towards it being worth the box cost at least (can get it for lowered price at some shops).

35 here with causal gamer style, (6 days played total AFAIR), still enjoying it, still going for the big 50 and will roll a Specialist after hoping that there is some info on the horizon how the extended PvP will be.

that alone makes this game invaluable.


SO nice not to see any elfs or other such "feminine" races for a change.

46 now, quest density is a bit thin up here, but the Bane density is quite the opposite of that. "Walking over corpses" describes Descent best

yeah lvl 45 and up doesent really have any quests, but the gazillions of Bane out there more then enough makes up for it


they ar gonna fill that gap next patch i think it was. or atleast partially fill it.
