wouldn't this work, finish the ToO Quest -> clone -> hand it in on both chars?

This could actually work.

(If you clone while the ToO quest is still open, it will get reset. You can grab it again then and start killing mobs and so on for the credit but you will not get the storyline quests needed for the credit, because your original did them and they are marked as solved, but not for the new ToO quest. That's tested behaviour by me.)

I will test your suggestion at when my Commando gets 29, just need to find two bosses (Stazzle, Mordra) in Divide for another clone credit from Divide ToO and get some levels.

Mordra is just a bit further south of Meatgrinder, same valley.
Stazzle is in Benefactor Valley, but a pretty sloooooow spawn.

for the ToO quest, still working on them, but when I regrabbed it on my clone, everything I had already done got marked as completed (annoyingly even the story ones which are still open on my main)

Found Mordra, no sign of Stazzle yet.

Strange with the ToO quest, I remeber that the clone I had go new counts for killing certain mob types and so on.

Crafting: Judging by the spec points on the character builder, it looks like it's best to make a character especially to do all your crafting, true or false, please?

Yes, you need 60 points alone to max all 4 crafting skills to level 5.

I will clone one of my upcoming level 50 chars and spec him/her full crafting and rest of the points some support.

I've heard somewhere that crafting will get redone, not sure if it's true though. In any case, I am not bothered with it atm. The hard mobs come on level 30+, the very hard mobs on level 40+. From there you will need some good resistances versus different damage types which will mean some crafting if you don't want to look for awesome drops. At those levels clones have the points easily for all crafting skills at 5 and before the standard shop gear is just awesome.

get 3 in Firearms that'll give you a nice knockback effect on shotguns, crit-shots on rifles and faster reload times on guns.

and that's sufficient for the first levels ;)

Rigante are on the EU server most evenings, you'll find at least one of us on from 5pm - 12pm. I'm under instructions to invite anyone who wants to join, although you can be kicked if you turn out to be annoying!

Our levels are pretty spread out but I'm glad to say we've got a lot of low level characters on the go, even with this cloning malarky.

Forum wise we use the Rigante members forum as well as the excellent community forum over at Gangrels Unofficial Tabula Rasa forums which seems to have the best spread of info with a lack of whinging. He also seems to get a lot of input from devs and TR staff.

If you want an invite just send one of us a whisper (might have to do it a few times - especially if the member has spammy /general as their channel at the time!)

If anyone wants a clan give one of the Rigante members a shout and we'll invite you, I've invited a few people this past week into the clan and the more the merrier!

If nothing else it gives you people to chat to whilst you solo, whinge to about bugs and squad with when we're online - more people we get, more squads we can make :)

Finally got payment issue sorted. But still cannot play. Get as far as server selection screen after that it wont connect. Did all the correct portforwarding etc but nothing tried this end will make it connect.

PlayNC EU Support have been helpful, sent me some test utilities and passed them the results plus screenies of the router setup. They now say its down to my ISP, the only ISP in UAE - Etisalat. Chances of getting it fixed is low to non existent.

There have been letters in local 7 days newspaper about the game not working so I know I'm not the only one with the same issue. PlayNC EU also confirm this. Still the game is being sold in the local game shops. PlayNC have full knowledge that it will not work which I personally think is a disgrace.

Oh well, back to playing US DAOC and LOTRO again. Waiting for War guild Beta to start.

It's not PlayNCs fault if your local shops are selling the game knowing it wont work, they can't control supply of the game to shops due to the way supply chains work. That's your local shop and ISPs fault, it's got nothing to do with PlayNC who have obviously told you they know about the issue and have probably already told your ISP about it and it's them who have done sweet FA about it.

Keep complaining to your ISP, personally I'd change if my ISP was preventing me from playing any games I might even want to try!

I think picking colours is Garriots idea - you do the same thing in Ultima online only to replace them 5 mins into the game with the first bits of crap armour you get!

Is anyone level 30 by now? According to a guy in game called Anchev one gets a total of 6 training points at level 30 and none at level 50.

Want to release my char planner by the next weekend, so a confirmation would be nice.

haven't noticed anything unusual at lvl30, but could backtrack how many skill points I've used so far if that's any help.

remeber though you start with 1 in Firearms, Hand to hand, Lightning, Motor Assist Armour and Sprint. Dont know if you have factored that in cylian.

He factored it in. Looks like Anchev was bullshitting me, as the points like Cylian spent them say one gets 2 extra points at level 30.

Would be nice if some other level 30+ could confirm.

How many ability points do you get total? - for some training point discussion.

So for now we have people claiming it's 104, 106, 108 and the manual that says 110.

Awesome. Not.

Am pissed off a bit about this, dunno what to do really. Want to release the software with a correct formula.
