Jesus christ what a fucking whine. Mastade wants to create a PUG day so that people who like playing in a FG but cannot do so, as they have no fixed group and PUGs are created much less now than before, will have a much greater chance of actually finding a FG this night so they can set out to an arranged area to fight other groups and have a great time.

The guy actually makes an effort to help people, appreciate it or just shut up. If Mastade wanted free RPs he would go roam Emain/HW... Christ why do people try so hard to QQ at every nice idea that is posted.

If this was a TT guildgroup day we would run in a different (alt)setup, the world consists of more than RPs you know,

since toa nothing is guaranteed if everyone in ur pug uses their toys and the set grp doesnt have enuff toys up or they lose mezz's it is a very fun fight, its just a game...ur meant to die... get on with it

I'll be there, I often run in pugs and it's fun. I've been in pugs with weird groupsetups that have killed set groups in Agramon, so it's not impossible like some claim here.

It'll just be happy farming for the rr8+ PuG groups (like yours most probably). The high rr groups will still only let in high rr players so as usual there will just be a masacre of low rrs and I don't want to fall into that trap. I don't really see the point in coming, but I guess thats just me, good luck with it anyways.
It's never to late to give up. Thanks for playing.

I would've been there if I could. :)

Anyway, I dont get this no add rule (whine). If you are a set group, shouldnt a challenge be great? I mean, its what the high RR groups want, isent it? -challenge.

If a fixed grp meet 1 pug, and are winning easily, then another pug 'add' which turnes the fight, and make it even. If the pugs win, will the set grp whine 'damn adders' or appreciate the challenge? :)

They will whine about the adding most likely... its really not about the ranks as much as the skills, the reason 8v8 is fun is because its even numbers and even if the enemy got higher ranks it still will be the most skilled players winning most of the time... So the best ones win more or less... Ofcourse this dont mean a rr1 grp can win against a rr10+ grp easily, but it is possible.... And the best way to reach that possibility is by keep trying and getting better...

High RR will pwn everything and get higher RR to pwn everything! I'd organise a high RR pharm group for this if I didn't run the pub quiz on a Sunday.

Ouch you're e-peen hit me in the eye when you were swinging it around. I said I'd organise a high RR group and I'd say that RR8 and above makes it a high RR group, yes.

So, if we run with a rr6 merc, that means we're a lowbie grp? :D

There's only one way this will really work and that's with the agreement of the set groups..

If the set groups are running and you encourage pugs to come then they will just get farmed, give up after 2 runs and go back to what they were doing before (if they even bother).
In order to get idea's like this to work, and get more people out 8v8'ing the set groups need to be the organisers of it.

Take your regular group.. split it into 2 groups of 4 people.. now invite 4 random lowbie RR's that you find standing round your border keep each.
You've now got 4 people that know what they are doing, and 4 people with a great opportunity to learn from them. Every group you meet will have some newbs in it that are going to make mistakes and as long as the set group people encourage them and try to improve them instead of just flaming them for being crap then it will hopefully give them some fun and mean next time they log on they look for a group instead of just running out solo.

The main reason people don't bother nowadays is that you get invited to a group, go on one run, all the good players in the group insta log normally leaving a stream of insults at the other players there, and the others go back to soloing.. is it any wonder people don't really try to make pugs anymore?

While the idea of getting more pugs out is good, if they can only put up any kind of fight against 1 of the 5 groups out in aggramon then it's going to get frustrating fast.. you could say they have a 20% chance of a fight they can win, in reality the group they do stand a chance against will also be dead 80% of the time, so it's more like a 3% chance of meeting the other lowbie group. At least one of your 8 players is going to get fed up and log fast, meaning you have to start all over again.

Good point and good idea, tho thats gonna be even harder to do than just make a regular Pug day as this. Speaking for my own guild, which now consists of me and myself. Tho if we were still running there would be no way i could convince the rest to do so. If the community really wanted it im sure it would be possible, im sure a few groups would be willing to do so.

Well me and my guildies have decided to simple bring our caster alts which is from rr1 to rr5 more or less and having 1 or 2 "high rank" support and then a few replacements and we got our self a nice PUG, none of us play that much these days anyway, and very few of us play together often :)

As for the few set groups that will be out, be it GA, CM or Savage conclave - these will only encourage the pugs out to be honest, since killing such easy set groups with a pug sure is fun!

Savage Conclave have been adding and zerging since forever, so yes i do put you in line with those guilds for a reason.... Though i suppose its even worse in your case, since some of you guys seems well nice and far from retarded... At least GA and CM can use the excuse of being simple retarded and not being able to understand the logic of common sense.....
