Well since most bards (99%+) arent spec'd in heals even if they get one in it'll do probably 150hps max and to be honest I doubt very much that you could get a heal off with a tank hitting you (no quickcast). More likely to run away if you have end song on, that's what I did or even use an instames if you have one available and pray it doesn't get resisted.

We'll be laughing, you'll be here claiming they're gimped too..

But then again most albion classes start off overpowered and get nerfed as they go along. Watch for it happening.

I'm not saying it's impossible to survive.

Just it's that much harder.

Sorcerers are cloth casters and have the survivability of them (around that of a mayfly)

Healers and Bards are chain-equivalent wearers, with hybrid hitpoints. This makes them that much more able to survive.

Now I'm not saying give Sorcerers chain just something (possibly even only a little thing) to make them survive that little bit easier might make the difference.

unfortunately bards are usually overlooked and heals go to the tanks/mages. It was rare for me to die to a tank anyway, usually died to nukers thanks to my "run in circles like a wee girl with 3 purple con tanks chasing me" tactic

Seriously though, my main gripe is with survivability - perhaps it's the way people level up in Albion ?

In my experience, the Cleric is always on /protect etc from the tanks, whilst the poor Sorc often isn't.

Sorcs can have the most dangerous job to do (up front mezzing, in paper armour) and yet are usually unprotected.

Hell, in a lot of Tangler groups I did the Sorc was -expected- to die !

A shield-spec Pally is great if you get get one to look after you, really helps a lot.

Seriously though, say they give you chain what else can you do except stand there for 0.5secs more before you die? you'd just then find yourself dying more to nukers

That has far more to do with him playing in emain for 6+ hours a day, 7 days a week, than it has to do with sorcs being a balanced class.

And I can promise you, when I nuke you to death repeatedly through a milegate or keep, without you ever seeing me or being able to respond, you will definitely not be the one laughing.

People expect necro's to be overpowered but every class has its weaknesses and I suspect the necro's will be pretty obvious once people are playing the class regularly in rvr

Still I'm looking forward to it, we need more variety in the game. I just hope they dont end up making other pet type classes like it in the other realms as the realms are meant to be different !
