Was good time at berk the other day, took the keep in like 5 minutes and farmed some wubly rp's from all the caster nubbins outside. Really when i put caster npc's up on the walls and you keep trying to nuke me, and get permanently interupted by them, maybe it's a hint to kill them first eh?

Well they are OTT, on par with wls and bds in small scall. In a fair world, they'd get shafted ala warlocks and wake up one morning having to reroll - the wages of easymode! But their position in alb grps means that ain't gonna happen - imo they'll end up being semi-balanced as everything else gets given lot of new toys instead if last few patches anything to go by.
Personally, one of most annoying thing about them is every other alb being a sorc means every small grp has at least one demezz; adders have demezz. Manage to single mez few peeps and some fishy midget comes along and spams demezz on everything; or one of the many midgets in grp purges and does same, ugh.

Its safe to say that sorc's are albs newest fotm char for sure - but msot of them play so badly that they arent that OP - the few who actually come out from the keep even when ml9 is down can be challengeing but fun

Sorcs are OP in smallscale rvr for sure, but in FGs there's plenty more OP classes.
But in my expereince the FOTMers would much rather stand around spamming lifetap on enemies at 1500 range and will escape anyway, rather than actually helping others out even when it would also benefit them overall. Sadly this even applies in many groups.

Sorcs is the backbone of the albion army, and it's always been like this.
I am however getting slightly aggravated by the ML9 pets. Alb groups with 2x sorc, 2x cabbalist make me wanna cry playing healer. Especially if it's a water fight. Ofc goes without saying that they're insanely overpowered in PvE aswell. Never did understand why some classes should be able to duo epic mobs, pressing just one button. Perhaps dealing with ML9 pets would be a viable tool to "nerf" casters in general across the board?

realistic these 2 classes cannot even compare each other.
healer is very good class + backbone to midgroups, but equal? nah, when theres same ammount healers running solo what sorcs.. we can talk equal classes.
i am still fed off sorcs prefix RA5 what give sorcs tool to wipe entire group, yet same time these peeps whined warlocks what had ability to kill 1-2 peeps before get raped.
sorc need still somekind nerf.
one is to make nukes dps be same, faster you cast? lower dmg you make.
working same way as haste/celerity.

[Not saying small visual groups or 8v8 isnt hardmode, but in his case, that is not an option]

Well, same problem occurs if you remove sorcs boltrange and nerfs it down to 1500 range, only worse.

Never thought i'd say this but, the threadstarter has a point, been trying to solo for the last 3 hours and 9/10 fights you have some wannabe pro sorc with his 10 m8s (8 of these are ofc other sorcs) barging in and mezz, leiftap etc etc.
Something needs to be done to drop the population of the sorcs.
Remember when i first rolled mine, i think there was 1 or tops 2 active level 50 sorcs and look at it now, /who sorc 50 will probably show somewhere over 30 - 40 atleast.
Tonight you couldnt even pass DC bridge without seeing 8 - 9 inconnu/avalonian s etc etc spamming mezz/leiftap towards the hibs standing up at DC and if you actually made it cross and manage to get a 1 vs 1 you'd just a few seconds after see those lovely 'zzzz' over your head and drop from 'Sorcroxxerer', 'Mezzedintheface' and 'Lolmgyougotmezzed' lifetapping the shit out of you.
No idea what should be done really, the warlock nerf was quite over the top but atleast that made lots of people stop playing the class.
