Having said that, game.net do have irc servers linked to quakenet. So poor old Timmy could wonder on to the server, and in to quake2.uk because he fancies talking about his latest skin. And a few horribly offensive images later (desguised as helpful links) and Timmy isn't the innocent carefree chap he once was. The mother finds out how he came upon such abominable pictures, and traces back to Game.

Well, I personally enjoyed both Dime's and Cage's posts, so my opinion may be invalid in Ted's eyes, but I think cage's offerings were far less offensive than anyone elses. I reckon he should be let back tbh!!

The old newbies forum was set-up by SAS while he was still here, and moderated by him -who fits that description...oh and me!


Serioulsy though TDC and Luap to moderate this forum. Luap is the only non BW employee trusted with ops in #barrysworld, so its logical, and TDC aint no fool.

Personally I'd suggest WPKenny, he seems reasonable enough & not quite so "wijercised" as Wij & TdC.

You do have a point about TdC though, he may be too involved in the community to be able to moderate it. But, it depends on the style of moderation big-wigs are looking for.

quite so, quite so. I hadn't looked at matters from that viewpoint to be honest.
it may well be that I'll have many problems if I get to help out. so will anyone I reckon. it's true that I'd rather be the friend of all than the hated evil moderator who asked someone to tone things down a bit.
imo BB is spot on when he says it depends on the style that's desired. moderating from within or without, formal or informal. I like this place, thus if I can help I shall. if I don't have to then it's cool.
