Well this is my honest opinion on the situation after reading all the posts and the IRC logs

I think Wildfire was angry and frustrated at the time, and decided to let his feelings out he would post on BW to help

Agreed not a good idea and agreed that it was not a good idea to flame all of BF

But a little understanding and patience goes a long way

So I would like to apologise, I have never had any problems with Black Falcons in fact I have alot of respect for them.

I just hope this problem can be laid to rest as a late night misunderstanding and move along

I think its sad that instead of directing our anger at Mids and Hibs we feel the need to attack eachother.

RP and exp are very similar.

The more time you spend exp'ing the more exp you get ofc, but in a good group you usually get a lot more than solo.
Same goes for rvr, although there is a luck factor as well.

What is needed is some way to measure time spent rvr'ing and rp gained, that way you could see that someone who spent an hour in rvr and made 10k is better than someone who spent all day in emain and made 15k.

Never gonna happen though

Also there is the luck factor, a assasin who meets a solo lvl 45 mage every 1 min would get a lot more rp than an assasin that met 2 scouts with TS charged everytime he entered emain

Best thing to do is forget about rp (and whether your guild got more rp this week than some other guild) and just have fun

btw, I am the BF n00bie, so I am qualified to state that, imo, BF is an excellent guild made up of disciplined and well trained players who know there game inside out and can pull victory from the jaws of defeat on many occasions (mah Sorc wins the Mythic award for best use of spectator mode ). There is a core of players who have played together for a long time (in different guilds perhaps) so you'll have to excuse them when they go for your juggler when you attack one of them

Oh! for the benefit of the forum lawyers, because I say BF is a very good guild , I don't imply that other guilds are not.... <sigh>, that would be............dumb?

Anyway Wildfire if you had Concentration mastered sufficiently you would have been able to QC the other mob too

There is skill in daoc, not in combat, but in making a good group and knowing where to take that group.
And you can learn each other's playstyles. This should come even more apparent with long range heals, healers can position themselves in a relatively safe place and not have to keep running forward to heal tanks that are chasing casters etc. Healers will begin to realise which tank is suicidal and charges first and be ready to heal, or get the insta ready on the sorc pulling of the QC ae mezz.

Also try minstrel vs 2 ppl, just the other day i had a great fight against a druid and a eldritch. Trying to interupt both using dd's, stun etc aint easy and requires a lot of target changing. And yes i did mezz the druid before i attacked (/me curses purge).

Just saying a small part of this game can soemtimes require skill

for me, i use a bit of brains when i try not to have my face faced into an area where enemies are residing when im cloaked.
standing face towards a tree and turning camera.
Also takes a bit of skill (and nerve) to fire purge and ip at the right times.
Takes a ton of luck to decloak and fire when soloing and not get ripped apart by the 5-6 nearby assassins.

Main prob for me is the following dilemma:
a) I need many enemies in the area to be able to get rp
b) Assassins follow alongside these enemies
c) Areas without assassins have no targets

Not that i really fear the assassins that much .... but they always bring either another assassin or a zerg.
