He thinks that people should be banned from having lettuce or something on a sandwich because he does not like lettuce. Just to make up for the fact people cant smoke indoors anymore :p

Thats still a poor comparison. You'd have to cross the road in 30 years time. And a blowjob and a ciggie aren't exactly on the same level of gain.

Exactly, even with that, it's STILL a poor comparison.

And you can't really compare the satisfaction of 30 years of smoking to one blowjob, if we take it further :D

If you meant me, all i can say is...what? :eek7:

Ban burgers from McD! Them be filled with fatty fat which fatty fatties eat and get fatter! It's McD fault!

Oh oh and ban guinness from bars 'cause it's not generic crap from a tap!

Oh oh and yes! LEt's ban eating from restaurants so the smell of a dish won't bother the person on the other table!!

Ooooooh!! And when we're at it, kill all the vegetarians/PC-brigaders/anti-smoke-loonies(hint) for trying to change everything and ruining the world

!!!!!!!!!!

smoking, what a pointless addiction, who even enjoyed their first cigarettes? it's all down to peer-pressure and vanity, cigs aren't cool, wish people got that into their heads. smoking is a bad bad habbit, i have a few friends who smoke and i really wish they wouldn't...

though, i do have nicotine very rarely when i smoke a joint, very little though, equvilent (sp?) to a few cigs a month

It's a good point though.

If i todl you "smoking pot is a badbad habbit and i wish noone would do it", you'd defend it.

And if i did think potsmoking was a bad habbit, then you saying "but it's not" wouldn't change it.

I'm not saking people to smoke, or defend it's benefits or deny it's health risks, but i do expect people to f*ck off to their own business.

the difference being that a lot of people, including you smoke ridiculous amounts, 10+ cigs a day? i'm pretty sure at some points other people are breathing in your smoke also, i know i don't go many days without inhaling someones dirty smoke. whereas smoking a few joints a month in the privacy of my own home affects no one and is far less often..

no where am i saying pot smoking isn't a bad habbit

Yeah and i'm breathing in fumes from the cars in the street etc etc...not going around telling them off.

I smoke away from people, watch my smoke, everywhere every time. If i even blow smoke in some smokers face, i apologise if need be.

And assuming how much i smoke or don't, is just plain silly.

Not to mention, the only known passive smoking caused health problems(if any) are not from breathing in someones smoke in the street. Chances are you're not even inhaling, you just happen to walk through a highly dissapated second hand smokecloud.

Trying this whole "your smoking harms others" line is simply ludicrous.

If you want real injustice how come dog owners have to clear up their dogs shit yet every other bird/animal can crap wherever it likes - my gardens full of cat shit but thats apparently not the fault of the crazy neighbour with tons of cats???

Smoking/non-smoking pales into insignificance by comparison! :p

According to who? The crazy cat person? I expect no one sane would agree. Also, there's stuff you can put in your garden that'll keep the cats away I think - some sort of pepper spray shit.

Apart from the people directly affected by drug crime? Right?

7 weeks tomorrow i will have done without a cigarette. And thats after 16 years and maybe 4 or 5 attempts at giving up. Longest about 3 months i think.

It's fucking hard to be honest and i miss the social side of it at work. In fact i havn't had a break at all and hardly ever take a lunch break now.

Still i said i would give up before i was 30 so there is no way i am going back to it now. The thought of never ever having another one is horrible but i think of my kids and that gets me through it.

Tbh Sharma I couldn't give a shit what anyone else did, I just found it amazingly funny that someone could say that smoking was pointless and bad then go on to say its ok to smoke weed.

Not to mention trying to advocate a "risk free" view of weed, which is quite clearly not true.. Considering Scientific research is also finding evidence of weed causing all kinds of lung problems. In some cases worse than Smoking, hole in the lung anyone?

Thats a consequence of the prohibition of cannabis, not of the drug itself.

p.s. I don't smoke weed any more, but I used to enjoy it back in the day.

Read about that too.

But guess what, in 10 years, when they say "shoving any smoke down your throat, ciggie, carbon, weed, burned up lillies(coming) is harmful to your lungs", weed smokers will still go "yeah but man, those smokers, they are the problem weed is a ok".

Hypocritical a-holes...hmh.

Not ALL weed smokers, since i know there's plenty on these forums, but those who judge smoking and then defend weeding.

I am a little confused as to why the anti-smoking, pro weed people don't eat the weed rather than smoking it. Surely the healthier and less hypocritical option? :)

The same could be said for any Class A drug. At least nicotine is legal (for now).

Plus thats fine in Amsterdam where its quite pure but if you buy it over here it may have been mixed with god knows what - its one thing to smoke that but another to consume it...
