yeah but you can do more damage with an instument of transport. I take it you are a sad lonely man who never sees the light of day as computers come first?

Yes clearly, because I'm not pre-pubecent and still obsessed with skateboards et al, I'm a sad and lonely character who's not been out in years, and is now referred to as a Hermit of The Town.

Thanks for your input into my social life, I appreciate your in-depth attempt at slagging me off. It worked well.

Cars. We can do more damage to you than you can to us.

I drive a car too and I feel bored by the laws of the road and the rally driving was fun, but it just lost its appeal.
And I think most people skateboard/blade/BMX because it makes them feel younger, mostly older people do it, look at Tony Hawk, he's 30 something. Besides Kez, this thread is about what you do, not what you don't do.

Heh, none of the above :)

Got a new mountain bike recently (Barracuda Showdown 2001) for a lot of money, so I've been getting back into off-roading :)

I have no problem with the skaters as such.
They dont mind us metal fans and we dont mind them, works both ways as there is only really one place to go at weekends and there are fuck all skate parks for them in Glasgow.

The sheer moronic attitudes some of you people display astounds me.
You can't even enter a debate unless you can stamp your own egotistical view on things, despite the fact that your opinions have nothing to do with the original question.

Fucking twats.

None of the above but i do Downhill mountain bikeing. 8th in SAMS 1998, 6th in MEB midlands super series. Broken ribs for national champs. 12th in Pedalhounds 4 national race (which i was fucking stoked about since there are the best guys in the world that go to that - i am not in the same catagory as them but in a few years i wil be :))

Then along came my exams, so doing all that crap then going to enter a few races this year to get back onto the swing of things then do some sirious winter training in france. Next year hopeing to get some sponsership so i will be hopefully rideing my bike for a living.

If anyone wants to diss downhill mountain bikeing (because of the rivalry between BMXers and MTBers then you can stfu in advance, i use a bmx and do a bit of street to increase technical ability. However, if you want to diss cross country then be my guest since it is a pile of bs :).

(also worth noting it is a sport we are good at in the UK, Steve peat has won 1st and 2nd rounds in downhill world cup so far :D)

fuk me, someone has posted something to do with this thread.

Mountain biking is pretty good actually, but I can't do it :(
What the hell is downhill anyway? Is it like downhill skiing, but with mountain bikes?

I use to mountain bike heavily, but stopped because:

1) I wasn't good enough
2) I wasn't fit enough
3) Too expensive for a young'un who was no good
4) Began to get a little bored of the same old

Yeah, like downhill skiing but where as skiing is long sweeping fast turn, dowhill mountain bikeing is more technical (not saying it is harder). Rock gardens and 4ft drop offs, huge sweeping berms (corners with imbankments). Ace stuff.

It is all timed against the clock etc where as cross country raceing is slogging around a circuit for 3 hours and looking st00pid. I still do crosscountry for training, you don't get fit doing 2 min downhills all day but i can't stand Crosscountry raceing :/

Yeah, i have put a rib through my lungs before (and various other accidents but i nearly did permanent damage from this) which was pretty nasty but the fun and people are great and it's all worth it.

Now you mention it, I think I have seen it on the Extreme Channel.

Have you had your head tested recently?
Gives a whole new meaning to that No Fear T-Shirt with "Balls, 2...preferably made of brass" written on the back.

Makes me and my blading feel very inadequate.

It is great that people know what Mountain bikeing is now :D, a few years back if you told someone you raced mountain bikes they would imagine a group of friends and the last one to the tree and back is a 'rotten egg'.
