Will be a long time before this is out still - next year release.

And does anyone have the time for this type of game anymore? I know I want to play it but won't have the hours to put in...

Sounds to me like there making it for future console release as the max map size is only medium size compared to the old sim city.

Tbh I lost interest when they scrapped arcologies after 2k. I might as well install that and play it instead of this shite, it's the last time I actually genuinely enjoyed the series.

You're permanently connected to the internet anyway so that's not a massive dealbreaker. It's annoying in that if I want to play it in a sandbox single-playery way (which I understand is absolutely just plain not possible with the upcoming game) there's no reason for it to need to be connected constantly. EA have said that it only needs to be connected when you start the game and you won't be "punished" if your connection is interrupted during gameplay.

Either way, we all know that whichever group cracks the game (probably within a day or 2 of release) will remove all of the Origin crap, leaving the piratey types enjoying the game with much less hassle than the honest purchasers. One in the eye for piracy again!

damn I was looking forward to a bit of Sim City. Might just have to root around for an old edition, perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon where you don't want anything to stressful to do. (that or transport tycoon deluxe)

I've properly got the SimCity bug after watching that. Will give it a go regardless of any EA bollocks.

The nonsense stuff is all fucking stupid but I played it at EG Expo and it's actually very nice for alpha code.

Got a friend who's currently in the last month's development of a AAA-title. EA are releasing it.

His whole company hate EA. To a man.
