Bit of a tough one to decide if the digital deluxe version is worth the extra.

I can see the shit being pirated out of this game which will be a great pity because the game itself looks fantastic and has *properly* got my mayoral juices flowing.

Nope, I generally never like to play betas but the things I read have stated that while being slightly different from SC2000 it is still good and intriguing.

All they did was complain, no good points at all? Quite clearly hardcore fans are going to be harder to please because let's face it they have been playing the same game for 10 years and all of a sudden all these changes? It's like some guy who works 40 the same place and all of a sudden there are changes coming into effect which he hates.

The always online multiplayer feature is probably one of the most exciting things about how this game works, being able to work and trade with other neighbours sounds great, I'm looking forward to fucking someone over and watch their city burn to the ground.

I've read a lot of good player impressions today and wish Friday was here fucking UK game selling law/agreement, HMVs fault!!!

Well all the reviews / comments I've read in the US release have really put me off, in fact I've cancelled my pre-order. And surely it's "we don't do online" GAME's fault regarding the UK delays :)

What have the general comments you have read said?

Wazz's link, this http://kotaku.com/5988286/ and others.

I may end up buying it but only once the DRM / Login Issues / Online Saved Games is improved, not limited to village size maps, at half price or less in a sale, with all the 100% guaranteed overpriced DLC to be released are included in a single package.

If this game is pirated successfully, I wouldn't be surprised to see very high piracy numbers. The always-on DRM and neighbouring influences are fucking shit ideas.

It's EA, hardly surprising they are filling it full of painful DRM.

I don't really care about drm, on disc dlc or any other muguff like that(not saying i don't understand the annoyance in it, just saying there's another side to it too ;)), so from that perspective i'm actually looking forward to seeing if this is a "return to simcity" for me.

Why is always on DRM an issue? steam is fucking DRM ffs yet nobody complains about that cunt do they?

Neighbouring influences are shit ideas? your fucking joking right? it's probably one of the best ideas ever to be able to see other cities growing right next to you and be able to trade etc with them it will make the whole experience that much more better, of course if you are socially retarded you can play all by yourself too, why you would want to do that in 2013 is beyond me, but hey Sim City 4 is still there to play for you.

People really do need to get over pathetic things like always on DRM it's really not an issue, even when i'm away from home staying in some hotel i'm still connected to the internet with my laptop or even on the train i'm connected.

If you don't have the internet then i can understand where you are coming from but that is just tough titties i'm afraid.

I actually don't have a problem with DRM. Steam is perfectly fine and supports offline mode, unlike this game. Steam has evolved into a well make & designed platform which is good for both the developers and the users which is why it's the most popular digital platform by a long long way.

Bullshit. There are lots of places with no or limited internet access. Why should I be limited to only playing a game I bought with hard cash to my home PC with a high quality always on connection? Even shitty Ubisoft have learned this. Frankly I think I'll just stick to Anno 2770 for my design a city game. It plays great, looks amazing, supports offline play and even the online integration (DRM) is very well done and unobtrusive.

Offline play isn't possible with the multiplayer feature, you would have players altering their files and everything to gain advantages, you don't need a high quality internet connection, i've played mmo's tethered from my 3g phone with maximum ping at about 190ms which is perfectly acceptable for anything not a shooter.

Still it's your opinion.

Yes, I think it's a shit idea personally. Why would I want to have my city infuenced by some moron I have no choice over? "One of the best ideas ever" is overstating just a fraction as well. Also with this system that they've chosen there's no save or reload.

The devs have stated you can still play on your own if you want to controlling the entire region.

So after all its still the online DRM which is your excuse but you have the internet and your online posting in this forum.

Again what's the problem? Steam has offline mode but its still DRM.

I will be getting Arma3 though. I just won't be using the Alpha test as an early access. Newsflash, people might not like the same things as you...there is no need to get upset about it.

You seem to have anger issues, is something in life bothering you?
