Why would you want to do that?

Don't do it. Most mail handlers (particularly Outlook) just treat it as an attachment. It also raises your chances of being dumped into a spam filter.

Yes but pictures in email signature is usually frowned upon!

Oh, I didn't realise that. I just thought it looked a bit more professional. I'll give it a miss then, thanks

Should I stop composing them in comic sans too....?

Use a small html file, with an image file hosted on the local computer.

If you do not know HTML, there are lots of email signature generators online. Google can help.

Don't do it Edmond. Outlook and Google will mark your mail as spam.

You could do it as html, but its a faff unless you're doing volume mailings/newsletters

Not necessarily true.

Indeed. I said "raises your chances", but its not really worth the risk.

Our corporate signature has a image in it but not attached it links to a website. And we have not had a lot of reports of it being a problem.

I saw one last week that looked just like a business card under the guys name and when you click on it it asks you to save / import a vcard. That was my favourite signature ever. I passed it up the food chain to see if we can steal it.

If you're some la-di-da type then I suppose you might be able to get away with it but I wouldn't dream of signing off an email like that (professional or personal).

Number #5 made me throw up in my mouth a bit. Americans.
I think you're all wrong though...

I don't like it when I receive a email and 'yours sincerely' etc is in the signature, to me, it's just lazy, I'd prefer something more.. personal?

IE, when dealing with buying shit on a website I'd prefer it if people were alot more informal 'cheers' etc works for me.

That's because you're a savage with no regard for social etiquette. You shall be beheaded at dawn.

Edit: Best Regards,
