Good job the Major is an emotionally flat character :)
Let's hope it's not set in New York and features Barry, Timothy, Chief Hammond and other such bollocks.

Find her fuckable, but not amazingly so.

That's the thing with all the starlets tbh. You can see just as good any Friday night in town...

After the farce that was lucy, she should never get an acting job again.

Really? I enjoyed that film immensely. Yes the plot was stupid but I thought it was perfect popcorn enjoyment. What with Lucy, Under The Skin, and Her, I think she's done a good job in recent sci-fi fare so there's some hope for GitS.

I do think she is a good actress, Lucy got a bit...odd at the end, but that's not her fault. I don't know much about this genre of film she's been lined up for, so i'll wait and see

Lucy was a good idea written and directed badly and they weren't entirely sure how to end it.

It wasn't her fault really, she did the best she could with the role.

Anything that says "we only use 10% of our brains" is a fucking awful and utterly retarded idea from the get-go and any writer who uses it should be barred from using up the earth's vital oxygen supplies.

Life must be terribly boring to not be able to watch science fiction

Do you get upset about supernatural films too?

It was written by Luc Besson, who has entertained me a lot down the years, so he gets a free a pass. In fact, he gets a free Mooltipass.

I did have a cat called LeeLoo and even tho she had shit back legs and pissed everywhere I still loved her.

But even that cat-naming levels of adoration doesn't mean I'm willing to give him a free pass to churn out dross.

Also ban everything regarding androids, superpowers, zombies, timetravel, "cooky" tech stuff like eureka and any kind of future speculation like star trek(lol@teleporting).

I want to see a show where 3 labcoats discuss the differences of protons in a lab, while calculating random stuff. No, no no, nothing happens, but it's realistic damn you!

Not at all. I never get anyone turn around and say to me "people who can shoot ice from their hands like the silver surfer exist" - they say stuff like "I wish the zombie apocalypse was real because I reckon I'd kick ass". This is people enjoying fictional entertainment in full knowledge of the fact that it's made-up.

The 10% of your brains thing, on the other hand, seems to have gained traction as an idea amongst the general population. It's been used a lot and it is presented as a fact at the beginning of movies that the rest of the movie pivots on. That seems to create in a lot of human minds the impression that it's a real thing (even if they don't beleive the rest of the movie).

I hear "well we only use 10% of our brains" from a lot of otherwise intelligent people. Admittedly - generally those who've no decent level of science-based education but I've heard it discussed between top-level lawyers - partners in huge law firms, people who run businesses and the likes - as well as the droves of knuckle-draggers who make up the bulk of the population.

As an idea it's been done to death. It's unoriginal, tedious drab bullshit indicating a lack of effort and imagination on the part of a writer who's either rubbish (not luc besson) or phoning it in because he doesn't need to try that hard any more (maybe luc besson).

So nyah :p

Anyway. Teleportation is real and the definition of an android is "a machine that is controlled by a computer that looks like a human" - so is well within the realms of actual possibility.

Time travel is also possible in that it's possible to leave a place and return a few years later with more time having passed at your destination than has passed for you.

:)

Only that definition isn't accurately covering time travel. More like crafty use of quantum physics.

From a pro nit-picker to another ;)

If we're nit-picking it's a crafty use of relativity, not quantum physics ;)
