You said you didn't know the exact percentage, meaning it could be like 10, 12, 15 or whatever, somewhere around 10. Ten percent to 90% is a bit of a leap don't you think?

No, it means "i don't know the exact percentage". As in "i don't know". As in "could be any number".

If i wanted to say "10,12, 15 or whatever somewhere around 10" i would've said "around 10%" or some such.
