3. when he is xping just nuke/steal his kills

this will fuck up his lvling,if his grp has a problem tell them the story and that you will leave once you are satisfied he wont be xping

rinse and repeat as required

This isn't really feasible, not least because there is no way to prove anything. You can't even take a screenshot - when you trade coin to someone, it says 0 items traded for 0 items. And I can assure you as one of Photon's former GMs, about the last thing I want is to log on and have 10 people coming up to me and saying, "Photon ripped me off for 1plat, please reimburse me."

As for Gilead's suggestion: if you do that you will be harrassing and griefing, and if reported to GOA you could get banned for it (and quite right too). Like Garcal griefing the fins group because he decided he'd been on the list too long, there are right ways and wrong ways to deal with a stupid person, and acting stupider is the wrong way.

The problem will sort itself out in as much as this is a game that takes a relatively long time to level a character, and has a persistent community. If you go on a quake server and make a nuisance of yourself, by the time you've been booted or driven everyone else away you can just go to another server and start over. By this time tomorrow pretty much every guild will have been warned about Photon, and that's him stuffed for groups/buffs/gifts of items and money/powerlevelling. And without that help, there's no way he can do anything solo. So he'll just quit. If he rerolls, it won't take long to find his new names - instantly, if he tries to transfer the money he stole to his new toon.

Finally, I think that GOA look on this kind of thievery as harassment. There were messages on the camelot-europe web site warning against scams like this from people who were stealing not only large sums of money but also complete sets of epic armour ("I just want to take a screenshot of myself wearing it").

Loconian messaged me in-game this morning telling me what had happened, and asking my advice on whether or not to post the story here (apparently he recognized my name from this forum, i allegedly talk too much ). I advised him to post the story here to warn other people, leaving the name of Photon's current guild out of it (I'm sure they have nothing to do with the whole sorry mess), and also to report it on RightNow as soon as possible. I don't know if GOA will do anything about it, but I certainly hope that they do.

i have to say that this is deffinetly the Photon that i know, he was in the guild 4months or so ago, then i got a copmplain and tried to talk to him.the result was that he got pissed and said that i was a lamer to believe others more than guild mates, so he left on his own cause he didn#t want to speak to me anymore

things got sorted out a few days later and he said he was sorry so i had let him back in the guild.

he took a time out for a few months and is recently back with Electron and as Alrindel said, Electron is a totaly different person!!!

now a week ago i got another complain about Photon and Electron, something real small, i invite the both of them into a /cg and Whandall for my support. guess what i'm the lamer again don't believe him and he left the guild again

5mins later i get the pm that he wants the 10g for his guild dyes back...

so i don't think u'll ever see that money back

it is sad, i have don somme transfers for ppl i didnt know, but only 1 wanted to make sure that i didnt run and told a story about someone running away with the items (was on mid/pry).

I have played with Electron, and Photon also joind the group (he was lvl 17 at the time) but group got killed and i logged soon after so didnt get to play mutz with him, didnt realy se the bad side of him.

So far evryone i hib has been nice.

Hi i'm Photon and Xzi, as everyone has leaped to the defence of the level 50 I thought I better say my 2 cents, before i get to the point, DAoC is a MMORPG or "Mass Multiplayer Online ROLE PLAYING GAME" some of my chars are nice, some aren't I find it fun building an indivudual personality for each one, anyway to the point. This explains so of my less than friendly behavour at times

Loco comes up to my level 2 char and asks if I have a char on pryd/alb (which i do, although it's my friends account, it was given to me) so i agree, he gives me the plat and we agree to meet up on pryd/alb. I try and log on, and can't the sub has run out and my friend has lost the user account details, so I relog onto hib and tell Loco that i've lost the char on pryd, and i OFFERED HIM THE MONEY BACK, at this point he goes ape and starts threatening me and harrassing me ingame, killing my mobs etc for no apparent reason. Then I have half of hib after me, mud sticks and i'm never going to be able to play in peace again, so to be frank why should I give it back? Clearly Loco's IQ struggles to beat a peice of driftwoods but if he had some manners and asked for his money without adding a threatening comment this mess will be cleared up. All I want is a please, do they not teach you that in school?

what has you lvl to do whith the point, if you start a new char on another server you will at some point have a lvl 3 (after about 2 dings) and you can stille have a high lvl on another server, like Loco belived you to have.

What a completely plausible story! I am utterly taken in by your cunning fiction. So the player who had been helping powerlevel you and who trusted you enough at that point to trade 1000g with you, suddenly was infuriated by you trying to give him his money back and HE started griefing YOU, for no reason.

Photon, there's a whole chat log posted that proves beyond any doubt that you're lying through your teeth. In it, you pretend it's not his money, then you pretend you don't have it any more, then you threaten to report him for harrassment, you call him "greedy" then you try to blackmail him into more powerleveling in exchange for half his money.

From the day you started this game you have done nothing on any of your characters but beg for money, beg for items, beg for powerleveling, and whine when you didn't get enough. That's not you brilliantly roleplaying a thieving whiney leech, that's your real personality shining through the virtual avatar, and it's nothing to be proud of.

I know Xeqtre... she is not a bad person. But, from personal experience, it only takes a few assholes to completly ruin the image of an individual in this game.
