Scale DI with group size

Hey,

In the thread in the DI nerf Enkor (Skold) reccomended the idea of adjusting the DI pool. What would you think as an appropriate amount?

IMO:

DI1 300hp for each player (not user)
DI2 500hp for each player (not user)
DI3 1000hp for each player (not user)

Range = 2000 no LOS check.

Pool can be used to heal anyone in group apart from user, pool is not effected by desease, pool is lowered/raised when someone leaves/enteres the group. Costs power to cast (needs thought).

Your thoughts!

I like the idea, altho 1000 a player with di3? In a fg that would mean 8k dmg..

But yeah seems like a good idea, but I kinda like DI and don't really see why it should be changed.. Might be frustrating for a solo'er to run into someone with a di bot in a nearby tower, but then just avoid towers imo

7K healing pool per DI3, that means Cleric/Cleric/Tic have 21K + 7K from double DI = 28K.

Add group instas and single instas and MoC3 healing and you have only group fights where everybody will adapt the tactics to kill DI users first.

Not sure you want that :).

just make it so it heals 3k with 8 players in the group = 430 per person (you dont count yourself).

Id say 420 per person excluding the user making it close to the 3k its today for a fg...

di wont change, personally be nice to totally get rid of di altogether, but i very much doubt mythic will do ANYTHING to di

DI would be completely useless then, its there to prevent dmg at inc / work as an insta heal / heal when interrupted and who would get it when its worth healing 1 nuke?

I would change the DI algorithms when the ability is used as follows:

$ if GROUP_SIZE = 2 then go HA_PWN.WSF
subroutine HA_PWN.WSF
If GROUP_LEADER = stick holding pointy hat french **** then proceed
Compute GROUP_LEADER -1000000 HP -1000000 REALM_POINT

How about if ...

The toon with DI has been on /stick for <x> amount of time & hasnt pressed <x> amount of buttons in that time then the DI pool heals the bloke who gets attacked :kissit:

I'll let someone else work out the value's of <x> :)

dont think vf or eleasias got the point, 420 pool for a duo, 3k pool for a fg and not a 420 pool for each player :)

Just get rid of di make it hardmode end of:) who needs to grp with a di bot? nobody thats why there is some many stuck to each others ass:(

tbh, is it really that many that uses di bots? I don't get it why this is such a huge issue.

And no, I don't have a DI bot so don't go there.

All the new caster/warder duos are far worse then the caster/cleric ones , whine at them instead :)

Can only agree with that. But wouldnt it work if they instead made it something like this:

for two people in group:

DI2 pool of 600, max 600 pr person <- might need fine tuning like the rest, just suggested values.

3 people

DI2 pool of 1300, max 750 pr person

4 people

DI2 pool of 1600, max 1000 pr person

5 people

DI2 of 1800, max 1500 pr person

6 people

DI2 of 2000, max 1750 pr person

7 people

DI2 of 2000, max 1900 pr person

8 people

DI2 of 2000, max 2000 pr person

I have to agree, 2000 hp for one person in a 2v2 is a little silly since its quite hard to deal so much dmg with so few people...

I'd say have it max out at 4 people rather than 8, but otherwise sounds good :)

And now tell me who the hell cares? DI is fine atm, why change it? It's a balanced ability that works well and I see no need to touch it. Just cause 3 people use a DI bot, it doesn't mean that a whole system will be changed cause of that.

Yer it's annoying when you get farmed by a DI bot "duo", but you're only looking at a very small situation here. What if I'm in a group with 2 mates (which happens often) and we decide to tag along the zerg a bit? Who the hell cares then, if we're a 3man or an 8man group when considering the DI healing?

I'm sorry but all the energy spent in making posts could aswell be used to just make a 1v1 irc channel and tell people where they can come to solo? I don't think an IRC channel is a hard thing to maintain, but then again I'm an IRC noob =)

Also, if you're 2 people vs. a DI bot user, then you should be able to find out who the DI bot is, or not? Then just kill it and then proceed to the other toon. If you say now that "the other toon can freely kill us while we do that and sorces have evil CC and RR5 and whatever else" we're talking about class balance and no longer about DI bots.

its just the value, not the heal per target value ;o 430 per member = 3k di3.

Hahaha ... When its a rr10+l-tapper with Near 5k hp Because of Di3 i think not :)

Fix it so you need 4+ to use ... simple :m00:

that amount is added to pool PER PERSON not each person has a individual pool :)

By all accounts the DI bots on stick in LOTM are gonna have a nightmare, bots being left/caught on stuff all over the place.

Will be a nice hunting ground I hope!

No ... its not the class that causes issue here its the ability ... 4+ to use it ... using in a duo no matter how oped is just stupid and should be fixed ... my 2 cents ;)

How can 1 person be such a big issue for you and your friends is far beyond me.

did he mention a specific player in that post? in any case they cant just gang around to kill just horner, it ruins their fun if they have to run around with 4 stealthers all the time for 1 person...
