I think the main problem is rvr has become to elite. Unless making perfect groups there is no point going out unless you plan to outnumber the enemy.

Mythic should realise this and make ALL classes needed or atleast viable for rvr.

Allways going fg.......2fg to take out zerg sometimes in emain but i hate it.(rather go odins)

As a low RR inf, I do take offense to the sheer ignorance/arrogance of the the "l337" DAoC'ers, who think they have a god given right to judge people on the class they play.

I've spent over a year leveling my infiltrator, not getting groups, having to "make do" with crap items or armour and now I've finally reached my goal, I find that most people think I chose this toon because its an easy class to play or I can just zerg with a group and get free RP's ???...pfftt, that may be the case for some people out there but for alot of people its not accurate. I may suck or might just oblivious to the majority, but I dont find my infil easy to play at all.


I run solo, unbuffed (or buffed by a lvl 25 bot), not even close to my SC capped stats and on occassions run with my guildmate, Beanella (who is in the same boat as me) - we lose 95% of the time to the buffed SB's/Hunters/Rangers or NS's, and not once have I ever though "*insert whine here*", because I understand this is just the way it is and as we are still quite new to the RVR part of this class; its a learning curve that is tough but I'll tell all you "l337-nerf infs, infs/albs suck/newbie players are twats" people, Im having a great time !

To some of us (obviously the older gamers), winning or being the best, isnt everything - its the enjoyment of the game.

Maybe, with old age, I've lost my competitive edge or maybe my glasses are just a little too rose tinted.....

The choices an non solo RvR player has these days in Midgard seems to be

1. Wait around alot to build perfect group that often never happens and is just not possible for some classes

2. Make less than perfect groups run out as 1fg and die

3. Make less than perfect groups run out as 1fg in an unpopulated zone looking for something, anything to kill.

4. Make less than perfect groups and wait around till you have 2 fg and run out and die to 3+ fg

5. Zerg (v Zerg)

6. Go PvE or craft

7. Go take undefended keeps

8. Zerg and get farmed at defended keep

9. Reroll as a healer or a savage or a shaman or a skald

10. Don't log on at all

Me, I like to do options 3, 4, 5, sometimes 6, 7 and 8.

If I get chance to do 1, then great but Im not spending 2 of the 3 or 4 hours I play a day waiting for the perfect RVR group.

Dont have time to do 9.

Might have to consider option 10.

u fucking retard.. yes i have.. who hasnt? and yes i seen the rvr there.. i am part of it.. and its sometimes me that forms the zerg to roll u over so we can defend OUR realm..

if u cant find good fights with 1FG, u´d better start looking somewhere else than at amg emain, cause theres plenty of em, only times they are thinly streched is during weekends (which ofc is because so many more ppl are online during weekends).

have u been blind and completely unaware of the rvr situation, since... uhmmm... ever..

a mid or hib can do a non optimal grp and do quite well (rp wise) in emain any day of the week, it´s bloody loaded (and I repeat LOADED) with retarded albs who havnt got any clue of what they are doing, and work in grp´s that often doesnt even include a cleric.

saying that u´ll just wander out and die if u dont have an optimal grp is sooooo silly as u´ll still be perfectly able to gain rp´s. no, not as many as a perfect grp, ofc not, but u´ll get enough compared to what 80% of albs are getting every day.

secondly. a non perfect grp can do quite well, if its players are good.

unfortunatly it seems that only albs havnt got the the "we muuust own, or we wont play" attitude.. quite sad - its a game, play it for fun.

imo, ur list of attitude problems purely suck, ur playing the game for the wrong reasons, no wonder u think its worse than ever

Emain (anywhere in emain) = up to 100 albs on a random weekday

Odins = Bafing hibs everytime ive been there the last 3 weeks (prolly cuz they are just as tired of the albs in emain as the mids are)

Hadrians = about 5 kills in 2 hours (non stealthers that u can find)

Ofc u can get a nice fg vs fg fight in any of these places but its not all that common anymore and u always get a 1-4fg add when ur picking up the pieces of ur m8s, altough i must say i lub the Mid/Pryd guild (Bulle Af Fetstryk) that now play hib/excal, always 1 fg always fun fights.

Bores the hell out of me to spend 30mins running around killing sod all cause some brehons zerged them all. Then the brehons log off and the albs/mids come roll over me in 3fg.

So what if the hibzerg rolls up - 1 or 2 ports later either Alb or Mid matches it and beats it. There was a lovely large scale fight where Albs and hibs were fighting at amg, and mids turned up too just as it was kicking off.

Sorry - don't recognise the concept for RvR- its open warfare. No 'my pull' or 'my camp' or 'my mob'. If it has a red name over its head its a fair target for every single player ot there. Someone hits a target I'm hitting or have jumped from stealth I don't mind or whine- its WAR. All join in - the more the merrier.

And I know you guys don't like the stealthers jumping in when you think you're only facing 1 or 2 groups at amg - but thats the point. You know they're going to be there waiting, but you still come.

Perhaps high RR stealthers with top notch buffbots can (which incidentally isn't solo, thats a duo) - the rest of us low RR stealthers without buffbots can't. Unless of course you're planning on flooding the frontier with solo cloth wearers that haven't heard of spellcrafting.

Stealthers are needing groups just as much as any other classes nowadays.
