:(

Brilliant comedy actor but also great in serious roles (One Hour Photo springs to mind).

Apparently this happening trumps the issue of Russia invading etc but who cares. (throughout all newspapers)

It doesn't, but other news ARE allowed to be reported on other than Russia vs Ukraine....

It's all over Swedish media-sites at the moment, so probably. One site i thought was named Post24.se but apparently was posh24.se. The hell.
As long as you don't take what Aftonbladet says at face value, we're good.....

Fine I`ll have to suit myself if Russia starts launching missiles and I completely miss this due to being too to lazy to scroll past Robin Williams.

I like the way they described him coming on stage like a man who had just been released from ten years solitary confinement

Bugger.

First rate actor imo. Good Will Hunting and One Hour Photo stand out for me. What a pity.

Aww man I remember watching him in "Hook" as Peter Pan with Dustin Hoffman as a kid, and then later in "Good Will Hunting" was one I also liked.

Very sad day. So many fond memories from both movies and stand up.
Good morning Vietnam, Good Will Hunting are two of my favorites movies.
As for stand up, not a whole lot compares to An evening with Robin Williams and Live on Broadway.

RIP. :(

O Captain! My Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:

But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! My Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;

Here captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;

Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

If you have never suffered from depression Thot then that's awesome... However I hope that this public suicide does some good for all those people who silently suffer from this disorder every day... It is a shame that there is still such a stigma associated with mental illness that people (including me at points in my life) feel too ashamed to get the help required. I am lucky that these days I have some incredible friends who can sense even by the way I write when I am struggling and give me a kick before it goes too far...
